Finance Manager Jobs in Seattle: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get a finance manager job in Seattle?
Target Seattle's highest-density hiring sectors: enterprise technology companies concentrated in South Lake Union, regional health systems based across the metro, and financial services firms in the downtown core. Candidates who stand out locally combine FP&A or business partnering experience with familiarity with high-growth environments, since many Seattle employers are scaling rapidly. Networking through CFO circles and local finance leadership communities strengthens your pipeline beyond applications alone.
Which companies hire finance managers in Seattle?
Employers hiring finance managers in Seattle right now include Amazon, CRUSOE, and Nordstrom, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of September 2026. Seattle's employer mix skews toward large tech firms, regional healthcare systems, and mid-size companies in professional services and retail, all of which maintain active finance teams across multiple seniority levels.
Are there remote finance manager jobs in Seattle?
Yes, though availability depends on the role: analytical and FP&A-focused positions are more remote-friendly than treasury, controllership, or operations finance roles that require on-site presence. About 50% of finance manager openings tied to Seattle are remote or hybrid as of September 2026, reflecting the tech sector's generally flexible policies. Strategic planning and reporting roles at Seattle's larger tech employers tend to offer the most hybrid flexibility.
How can I get a finance manager job in Seattle with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path in Seattle is moving up from a senior financial analyst or finance business partner role at a mid-size tech or healthcare company, where promotion cycles are faster than at legacy firms. Seattle's many high-growth technology companies and regional health systems regularly hire candidates into stretch finance manager roles when they show strong modeling skills and cross-functional communication. Rotational finance programs at larger Seattle employers are also a direct pipeline into management.
Which industries hire the most finance managers in Seattle?
Seattle finance manager roles concentrate in Retail, Technology & Software, and E-Commerce & Online Marketplaces, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of September 2026. Seattle's outsized technology sector, anchored by major enterprise software and cloud companies in South Lake Union and Bellevue, drives a disproportionate share of that demand compared with most other U.S. metros.
