Financial Data Analyst Jobs in Georgia: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a financial data analyst in Georgia?
Most financial data analyst roles in Georgia require a bachelor's degree in finance, economics, statistics, or a related field, though many employers also consider computer science or data science backgrounds. Georgia does not issue a state-specific license for financial data analysts, but candidates who earn credentials like the CFA, CPA, or Certified Analytics Professional stand out in a competitive Atlanta market. Building a portfolio of financial models or dashboards and gaining experience through Georgia-based internships or co-op programs strengthens your candidacy.
How much do financial data analysts make in Georgia?
Financial data analysts in Georgia earn a median of about $99,420 a year, based on May 2025 Bureau of Labor Statistics wage data, ranging from around $66,140 for the lowest 10% to over $167,700 for the top 10%. Pay rises with experience, specialty, and employer.
Which companies hire financial data analysts in Georgia?
Employers hiring financial data analysts in Georgia right now include Jobot, The Coca-Cola Company, and BRAVEN, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of September 2026. Georgia's concentration of Fortune 500 headquarters, large regional banks, and major healthcare networks means demand is spread across multiple industries rather than a single sector.
Which Georgia cities have the most financial data analyst jobs?
Atlanta, Alpharetta, and Lawrenceville have the most financial data analyst openings in Georgia. Atlanta dominates because it hosts the corporate headquarters of major financial services firms, insurers, and Fortune 500 companies, while Alpharetta's dense technology and fintech corridor drives demand in that suburb, and Savannah's growing logistics and port-related finance operations have steadily added analytical roles.
Are there remote financial data analyst jobs in Georgia?
Yes, and more than most fields. Financial data analysis is largely a desk-based, software-driven role, which makes it well suited to remote and hybrid arrangements. About 75% of financial data analyst openings tied to Georgia are remote or hybrid as of September 2026, reflecting broader trends in corporate finance teams. Roles focused on data modeling, reporting automation, and business intelligence dashboards are the most consistently available in a remote or hybrid format.
How can I get hired as a financial data analyst in Georgia with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is a junior analyst or data associate role at one of Georgia's large financial institutions or corporate finance departments, where structured rotational or analyst development programs exist for recent graduates. Employers like Equifax, NCR Atleos, and major Atlanta-area hospital systems run new-grad analyst programs that accept candidates without professional experience. Transitioning from adjacent roles such as financial reporting coordinator, business analyst, or accounting associate is also common. A portfolio of SQL queries, Tableau dashboards, or a completed Google Data Analytics or CFA Level I credential gives candidates a concrete edge.
Where can I find and apply to financial data analyst jobs in Georgia?
You can find and apply to financial data analyst jobs in Georgia on Migrate Mate, which lists current Georgia openings across Atlanta, Alpharetta, Savannah, and other markets. Find the roles that fit your background and apply directly to the employer from the listing.
