Financial Systems Analyst Jobs in Texas: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a financial systems analyst in Texas?
Most financial systems analyst roles in Texas require a bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, management information systems, or a related discipline. Texas does not issue a state license specific to this role, so employers rely on professional credentials such as the CPA, CFA, or CISA to assess candidates. Gaining experience with ERP systems like SAP or Oracle, either through coursework, internships at Texas-based firms, or entry-level finance or IT roles, is the most reliable path into the field.
Which companies hire financial systems analysts in Texas?
Employers hiring financial systems analysts in Texas right now include American Heart Association, Deloitte, and Government Employees Insurance Company (Geico), based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of June 2026. Texas's concentration of energy companies, major airlines, healthcare systems, and large technology firms creates consistent year-round demand for analysts who can manage and improve enterprise financial platforms.
Which Texas cities have the most financial systems analyst jobs?
Houston, Dallas, and Fort Worth have the most financial systems analyst openings in Texas. Dallas-Fort Worth leads because of its density of corporate headquarters, regional banks, and large technology employers, while Houston's energy and healthcare industries drive demand there, and Austin's growing enterprise software and financial technology sector accounts for a significant share of the state's openings.
Are there remote financial systems analyst jobs in Texas?
Yes, and more than most fields. About 50% of financial systems analyst openings tied to Texas are remote or hybrid as of June 2026, reflecting the desk-based, systems-driven nature of the work. The tasks most commonly performed remotely include financial reporting configuration, system testing, and documentation, while on-site presence is more often required during active ERP implementations or stakeholder training phases.
How can I get hired as a financial systems analyst in Texas with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is moving into a financial systems analyst role from an adjacent position such as staff accountant, financial analyst, or IT business analyst, where you gain exposure to the ERP systems Texas employers rely on. Large Texas employers in energy, healthcare, and retail often post associate or junior analyst roles that are designed for recent graduates. Pursuing an ERP vendor certification in SAP or Oracle alongside a finance or accounting degree gives candidates a measurable edge when competing for those openings.
Where can I find and apply to financial systems analyst jobs in Texas?
You can find and apply to financial systems analyst jobs in Texas on Migrate Mate, which lists current Texas openings updated regularly. Find the roles that fit your background and apply directly to employers from each listing.
