INTRODUCTION
We are seeking a Firmware Software Integration Engineer to support the development, integration, testing, and validation of embedded software and firmware solutions for Motor, Generator, and Alternator control systems. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with embedded systems, CAN communication, software integration, debugging, and validation activities in a vehicle or power systems environment.
ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Review, modify, test, and release software and firmware updates for Motor/Generator/Alternator control systems.
- Support software integration, debugging, and validation activities across multiple embedded platforms.
- Analyze system, ECU, and vehicle data to identify software, communication, and integration issues.
- Investigate and troubleshoot CAN communication and network-related concerns.
- Verify compliance with Cummins Engine Network (CEN) specifications and system requirements.
- Monitor, validate, and improve overall system functionality and performance.
- Enhance software robustness and reduce susceptibility to false fault detection.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including software, controls, validation, and systems engineering.
- Document test results, issue reports, and software release activities.
