Entry Level Graduate Jobs: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get an entry level graduate job?
Focus on what you can show rather than what you have done. Employers hiring at the entry level look for relevant coursework, internship experience, personal projects, or a portfolio that demonstrates practical skills. Tailor your resume to each posting, highlight transferable skills from part-time or volunteer work, and apply broadly since many entry level roles are designed to train candidates from the ground up.
Which companies hire entry level graduates?
Companies hiring entry level graduates right now include UPMC, Westwood Professional Services, and GHD, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. The hiring mix covers large corporations with formal graduate programs and smaller organizations that fill junior roles on a rolling basis throughout the year.
Are there remote entry level graduate jobs?
Yes, though on-site roles still make up a significant share of the market. About 10% of entry level graduate openings are remote or hybrid as of July 2026, with remote availability varying by industry and function. Tech-adjacent and administrative roles tend to offer the most flexibility for candidates at this stage.
Are these new grad graduate jobs?
Yes. These listings include new grad, recent graduate, and junior roles across a wide range of fields. A posting is generally new-grad friendly when it welcomes zero to two years of experience, accepts internships or co-ops in place of full-time history, or explicitly invites candidates to apply based on a portfolio or relevant coursework rather than years on a resume.
Which industries hire the most entry level graduates?
Entry level graduate roles concentrate in Healthcare & Medical Services, Education, and Consulting & Professional Services, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. Those sectors tend to drive hiring at this level because they run structured onboarding programs, have high turnover in junior positions, or rely on a steady pipeline of new talent to support growth.
