Entry Level Senior Asic Design Engineer Jobs: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get an entry level senior asic design engineer job?
Employers hiring at the entry level look for hands-on RTL design experience from coursework, internships, or personal projects, along with familiarity with hardware description languages like Verilog or VHDL and simulation tools. A capstone project, open-source contribution, or internship that demonstrates a full design-to-verification workflow gives candidates a clear edge over applicants who rely on coursework alone.
Which companies hire entry level senior asic design engineers?
Companies hiring entry level senior asic design engineers right now include NVIDIA, Qualcomm, and Apple, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of August 2026. Hiring at this level tends to come from semiconductor manufacturers, fabless chip startups, and large consumer electronics firms that run structured new-grad programs and need pipeline talent for longer design cycles.
Are there remote entry level senior asic design engineer jobs?
Yes, though remote roles are less common in hardware-focused disciplines than in software. About 0% of entry level senior asic design engineer openings are remote or hybrid as of August 2026, with hybrid arrangements more typical since many teams require access to lab equipment, EDA tool licenses, and on-site tape-out workflows at least part of the week.
Are these new grad senior asic design engineer jobs?
Yes, these listings include new grad, recent graduate, and junior roles. A posting is new-grad friendly when it welcomes zero to two years of experience, counts internships or co-ops toward the requirement, or accepts a strong academic portfolio in place of full-time work history. Searching for new grad senior asic design engineer openings on Migrate Mate surfaces exactly these kinds of roles.
Which industries hire the most entry level senior asic design engineers?
Entry Level senior asic design engineer roles concentrate in Technology & Software, Electronics & Hardware, and Telecommunications, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of August 2026. Those sectors drive entry level hiring because they operate continuous design and verification pipelines that require a steady intake of junior engineers to support chip development from specification through physical implementation.
