Entry Level Value Based Care Jobs: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get an entry level value based care job?
Employers hiring at the entry level look for candidates who understand core concepts like care coordination, quality metrics, and patient outcomes, even without deep work history. Coursework in public health, healthcare administration, or health informatics signals readiness. Internships, capstone projects, or volunteer experience in a clinical or managed care setting give you a concrete edge. Tailoring your resume to highlight analytical skills and team-based care experience helps you stand out among other new grads.
Which companies hire entry level value based cares?
Companies hiring entry level value based cares right now include Optum, DaVita, and Cone Health, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. At this level, you'll find openings across health systems, managed care organizations, physician practice groups, and health technology companies building population health programs.
Are there remote entry level value based care jobs?
Yes, though availability varies by role type. About 40% of entry level value based care openings are remote or hybrid as of July 2026, with care coordination and data-focused roles more likely to offer flexible arrangements than positions requiring direct patient or provider interaction. Searching for hybrid options can broaden your options significantly at the entry level.
Are these new grad value based care jobs?
Yes, many of these openings are new grad and junior roles that welcome recent graduates and candidates with little or no professional experience. A new grad friendly posting typically requires zero to two years of experience, accepts internships or academic projects as qualifying background, and does not list senior-level credentials as requirements. Look for language like 'entry level,' 'recent graduate welcome,' or 'will train' as strong signals the employer is open to candidates just starting out.
Which industries hire the most entry level value based cares?
Entry Level value based care roles concentrate in Healthcare & Medical Services, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. These sectors drive hiring at this level because they are actively building or scaling value based programs, creating consistent demand for junior coordinators, analysts, and program support staff.
