Entry Level Senior Developer Advocate Jobs: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get an entry level senior developer advocate job?
Employers at this level look for candidates who can communicate technical concepts clearly and build credibility with developer communities. A portfolio of technical blog posts, recorded demos, conference lightning talks, or open-source project contributions gives you a concrete edge. Internships or student ambassador programs that involved developer outreach are also strong signals, even if the title was informal. Tailor your application to show both technical depth and communication ability.
Which companies hire entry level senior developer advocates?
Companies hiring entry level senior developer advocates right now include Ascension, Henry Ford Health, and Lifecare Home Health Family, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. At this level, hiring covers startups building their first developer relations function, mid-size software companies expanding their platform ecosystems, and larger technology organizations that bring in junior advocates to support community programs and documentation.
Are there remote entry level senior developer advocate jobs?
Yes, though availability varies by employer and team structure. About 39% of entry level senior developer advocate openings are remote or hybrid as of July 2026, reflecting the communication-first nature of developer relations work. Some roles require in-person presence for team onboarding or event attendance, so check each listing for location requirements before applying.
Are these new grad senior developer advocate jobs?
Yes. The listings on this page include new grad, recent graduate, and junior roles that explicitly welcome candidates with little or no professional experience. A posting is typically new-grad friendly when it lists zero to two years of experience, accepts internships or academic projects as qualifying experience, or calls out a portfolio or personal projects in place of a formal work history. Look for those signals in the job description.
Which industries hire the most entry level senior developer advocates?
Entry Level senior developer advocate roles concentrate in Healthcare & Medical Services, Technology & Software, and Government & Public Sector, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. These sectors drive hiring at this level because they maintain active developer platforms, APIs, or SDKs that require consistent community engagement, technical content, and documentation support from dedicated advocates.
