Accounts Receivable Assistant Green Card Jobs
Accounts Receivable Assistant roles qualify for EB-3 green card sponsorship when employers file a PERM labor certification with the DOL, confirming no qualified U.S. workers are available. EB-2 may apply for candidates with advanced degrees in accounting or finance. Sponsorship leads to lawful permanent residency, not a temporary visa.

Get Access To All JobsTips for Finding Green Card Sponsorship as an Accounts Receivable Assistant
Target employers with active PERM filing history
Not every accounting department will sponsor green cards. Focus on mid-size to large companies in healthcare billing, logistics, and financial services, where high AR volume and staff turnover make sponsorship a practical hiring decision rather than an exception.
Search sponsoring employers through Migrate Mate
Migrate Mate lets you filter Accounts Receivable Assistant roles by employers with confirmed green card sponsorship history, so you're not guessing which hiring managers will engage on PERM. Use it before you start applications to build a targeted list.
Verify the prevailing wage before your offer stage
Your offered salary must meet or exceed the DOL prevailing wage for Accounts Receivable Assistants in the employer's metro area. Look up the applicable wage tier using the OFLC Wage Search before negotiating so you can flag any shortfall early.
Clarify the employer's PERM timeline during interviews
PERM labor certification typically takes six to twelve months before the I-140 petition even begins. Ask directly whether the employer has completed PERM filings before and whether they have in-house counsel or use outside immigration attorneys to manage the process.
Understand your occupation code for the I-140 petition
USCIS classifies Accounts Receivable Assistants under a specific Standard Occupational Classification code. Check the O*NET profile for your exact job duties to confirm alignment, since mismatches between the job description and the petition can trigger Requests for Evidence.

Find Accounts Receivable Assistant JobsAccounts Receivable Assistant Green Card Sponsorship: Frequently Asked Questions
Can an Accounts Receivable Assistant role qualify for EB-3 green card sponsorship?
Yes. Accounts Receivable Assistant positions typically qualify under the EB-3 skilled worker or professional category when the role requires at least two years of training or a bachelor's degree. The employer files a PERM labor certification with the DOL first, demonstrating that no qualified U.S. workers are available, then files the I-140 immigrant petition with USCIS.
How does green card sponsorship differ from H-1B sponsorship for this role?
Unlike H-1B, EB-3 green card sponsorship has no annual lottery and leads to permanent residency rather than temporary status. The tradeoff is timeline: PERM certification plus I-140 adjudication can take one to two years before you even reach adjustment of status. H-1B is faster to activate but must be renewed and is subject to lottery selection. Many Accounts Receivable professionals on H-1B pursue PERM concurrently to lock in a priority date early.
What documents should I prepare before a sponsoring employer starts the PERM process?
Gather your official academic transcripts and degree certificates, any professional certifications in accounting or bookkeeping, employment verification letters from past employers listing your job titles and dates, and a current resume that maps your experience to the specific duties in the job description. PERM audits scrutinize the applicant's qualifications closely, so gaps or inconsistencies between your documents and the petition can delay certification significantly.
How do I find Accounts Receivable Assistant jobs where the employer will sponsor a green card?
Most general job boards don't filter by green card sponsorship history, which means you end up applying broadly and hoping. Migrate Mate is built specifically for this: you can search Accounts Receivable Assistant roles filtered by employers with confirmed PERM and I-140 filing history, so every application goes to a company that has already demonstrated willingness to sponsor.
Does my country of birth affect how long the EB-3 green card process takes?
Yes, significantly. Nationals from India and China face priority date backlogs that can extend the EB-3 wait by years because demand from those countries exceeds the per-country annual limits. Nationals from most other countries are in the Rest of World category, where priority dates are typically current or only modestly backlogged. Check the monthly Visa Bulletin published by the State Department to track your specific category and country.
