Role Summary
The AI Adoption & Integration Lead will help Associates and managers successfully transition to AI-enabled ways of working and embed those changes into their day-to-day routines, roles, behaviors, and operating practices.
As a core member of a dedicated Implementation Pod, this role will work alongside the business team, AI Process Transformation Lead, and Applied AI Solutions Lead throughout each engagement. The AI Adoption & Integration Lead will bring the perspective of the people whose work is changing, helping the team understand what it will take for the new workflow to be practical, trusted, adopted, and sustained.
This role is not primarily about communications or delivering training after a solution has already been designed. The AI Adoption & Integration Lead will participate throughout the engagement so that user needs, change implications, and adoption risks can influence the emerging workflow and solution in real time.
Success will be measured by whether real people successfully adopt the new way of working and whether the business can sustain it after the Implementation Pod moves on.
Responsibilities
Understand the People:
- Build trusted relationships with the Associates, managers, and business leaders whose work is changing and understand how the proposed change will affect their day-to-day experience.
- Identify likely adoption barriers, skill gaps, concerns, incentives, role impacts, and practical realities that need to influence the future-state design.
- Bring the user and people perspective into Pod discussions throughout the engagement rather than waiting until launch.
- Help the team distinguish between reasonable adoption concerns and change resistance that requires active leadership reinforcement.
Prepare People for the Change:
- Develop a focused adoption approach tailored to the specific workflow, population, and business context, including communications, hands-on learning, manager enablement, job aids, and launch support.
- Translate the emerging workflow and AI solution into practical guidance that Associates can understand and use confidently.
- Help users understand when and how to use AI effectively, where human judgment remains important, and how to respond when the solution does not behave as expected.
- Partner closely with business managers and workflow stewards so they are equipped to reinforce the new way of working.
Make the New Way of Working Stick:
- Ensure responsibilities, procedures, escalation paths, operating routines, and ongoing ownership are clear before the Pod completes an engagement.
- Support launch, gather rapid feedback from users, and work with Pod teammates to address adoption barriers or practical issues as they emerge.
- Establish practical adoption and usage measures and support post-launch assessment of whether the new workflow is being sustained.
- Capture reusable change and adoption practices and share recurring learning with the broader AI Learning & Community Enablement team.
Mindset
- People-oriented and empathetic: naturally seeks to understand how change will affect others and what they need to be successful.
- Builds trust quickly and is comfortable engaging with people doing real jobs, not only senior stakeholders.
- Brings positive energy, optimism, and momentum to change.
- Strong listener and facilitator who can help people move from uncertainty to confidence.
- Organized and execution-oriented; follows through on the many practical details that determine whether change sticks.
- AI-forward and enthusiastic about helping others become successful with new technology.
- High urgency, low ego, and excited to be part of a high-performing team rather than seeking individual ownership or visibility.
Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in business, organizational development, communications, human resources, operations, technology, or a related discipline and 5+ years of related experience.
- Experience in change management, digital adoption, transformation, implementation, learning, organizational effectiveness, or related roles.
- Demonstrated experience helping teams adopt new technology, processes, or ways of working.
- Strong interpersonal, facilitation, communication, and stakeholder-management skills.
- Ability to translate complex changes into simple, practical guidance for business users.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to execute quickly in a fast-moving team environment.
- Working knowledge of generative AI and enthusiasm for helping others use AI effectively.
Preferred:
- Experience supporting technology-enabled workflow transformation.
- Experience developing and facilitating hands-on learning or adoption programs.
- Experience in financial services, asset management, or another regulated environment.
- Familiarity with change-management methodologies, applied pragmatically rather than as rigid process.

Get Access To All JobsTips for Finding Green Card Sponsorship as an AI Specialist
Document your AI credentials before applying
Gather transcripts, publications, patents, and performance reviews that map directly to the DOL's specialty occupation definition. PERM audits frequently target AI roles because job duties can overlap with general software engineering, so concrete documentation of machine learning specialization strengthens your case.
Target employers with active PERM filings
Search the DOL PERM disclosure data for companies that have certified AI Specialist or Machine Learning Engineer positions in the past two years. Recent PERM approvals in your exact role category signal that a company already has the internal process and legal support to sponsor you.
Use Migrate Mate to filter green card sponsoring roles
Search AI Specialist jobs on Migrate Mate and filter by EB-2 or EB-3 sponsorship availability. This surfaces employers who have confirmed green card sponsorship history, saving you from applying to companies whose recruiters will later say sponsorship isn't available for your level.
Clarify sponsorship scope during offer negotiation
Ask specifically whether the offer includes PERM labor certification and I-140 filing, not just H-1B visa transfer. Some employers sponsor temporary status but decline to initiate green card proceedings, and you want that commitment in writing before you accept and give notice to your current employer.
Verify your role's wage level against OFLC Wage Search
PERM requires your offered salary to meet the prevailing wage for your specific SOC code and work location. AI Specialist duties often map to multiple SOC codes with different wage floors, so confirming the correct classification with your employer's attorney before the labor certification is filed avoids preventable denials.
Understand EB-2 versus EB-3 classification for AI roles
If your role requires a master's degree or you hold a U.S. master's equivalent, EB-2 without the PERM step may be available through a National Interest Waiver self-petition. EB-3 professional is the fallback for bachelor's-level AI roles and carries no numerical cap concerns for most countries outside India and China.
Green Card AI Specialist: Frequently Asked Questions
Do AI Specialist roles qualify for EB-2 or EB-3 green card sponsorship?
Most AI Specialist positions qualify for EB-2 when the employer's minimum requirement is a master's degree in computer science, machine learning, or a related field. Roles requiring only a bachelor's degree fall under EB-3 professional. The employer's stated job requirements at the time of the PERM filing, not your personal credentials, determine the category, so the job description language matters significantly.
How does PERM green card sponsorship differ from H-1B for AI Specialists?
H-1B is a temporary status tied to a specific employer with a six-year base limit and an annual lottery. PERM-based sponsorship leads to permanent residency with no lottery and no expiration. The tradeoff is time: PERM labor certification plus I-140 adjudication typically takes one to three years before you reach the final adjustment of status stage, depending on your country of birth and USCIS processing backlogs.
Which employers regularly sponsor green cards for AI Specialist positions?
Technology companies, financial services firms, healthcare systems, and large research-driven organizations have the most consistent PERM filing history for AI roles. Rather than guessing, search the DOL PERM disclosure data by job title and employer to see certified applications in your specialty. Migrate Mate also lets you filter AI Specialist listings by green card sponsorship history so you can focus on employers with a confirmed track record.
Can I switch employers after my I-140 is approved but before I get my green card?
Yes, under AC21 portability rules, once your I-140 is approved and your priority date has been pending for 180 days or more, you can change employers as long as the new role is in the same or a similar occupational classification. For AI Specialists, a move from one machine learning engineering role to a comparable one at a different company generally satisfies the similarity requirement, but you should confirm the classification match with an immigration attorney before accepting.
What does the PERM labor certification process involve for AI Specialist jobs?
The employer must conduct a DOL-supervised recruitment process to demonstrate that no qualified U.S. worker is available for the position. This includes posting the job through specific channels, documenting applicant rejections, and filing ETA Form 9089 with DOL. For AI Specialist roles, the job duties description must be precise because vague or overly broad language frequently triggers audits. USCIS then reviews the approved PERM when the employer files the I-140 immigrant petition.
