Green Card Antenna Engineer Jobs
Antenna Engineer roles qualify for EB-2 and EB-3 green card sponsorship through PERM labor certification, which requires employers to test the U.S. labor market before filing your I-140 petition. Defense contractors, telecom firms, and aerospace companies regularly sponsor foreign engineers in this field, making it a viable path to permanent residency.

Document your antenna engineering credentials precisely
PERM requires your degree field to align with the job duties. If your degree is in electrical engineering rather than RF or antenna systems specifically, gather coursework transcripts and employer letters showing your specialization maps to the posted role.
Target employers with active PERM filing history
Search DOL PERM disclosure data for employers who have filed for antenna, RF, or microwave engineering roles. Defense primes and satellite communication firms appear frequently and already understand the PERM recruitment process for this specialty.
Verify your role qualifies under EB-2 requirements
EB-2 covers antenna engineers whose positions require a master's degree or equivalent. If your employer can justify the advanced-degree requirement in the job description, you avoid the longer EB-3 skilled-worker queue that many nationalities face.
Confirm prevailing wage before accepting an offer
Your employer must pay the DOL-certified prevailing wage for your specific SOC code and work location. Use the OFLC Wage Search to check Wage Level II or III for antenna and RF engineering roles before you negotiate your compensation package.
Search green card sponsoring jobs on Migrate Mate
Filter by antenna engineering roles on Migrate Mate to find employers actively sponsoring EB-2 and EB-3 green cards. Searching by sponsorship history saves weeks of manual research into which companies will actually file a PERM petition for this role.
Understand PERM recruitment timing before your start date
PERM requires your employer to run a full recruitment cycle, typically taking six to twelve months before the I-140 is filed. Negotiate your start date and any H-1B visa or O-1 visa bridge visa extension timeline alongside the green card process from day one.
Green Card Antenna Engineer: Frequently Asked Questions
Do Antenna Engineer roles qualify for EB-2 or EB-3 green card sponsorship?
Antenna Engineer positions can qualify for both EB-2 and EB-3 depending on how the employer defines the role. EB-2 applies when the position genuinely requires a master's degree or equivalent in electrical, RF, or antenna engineering. EB-3 covers roles requiring at least a bachelor's degree. Your employer's job description and the DOL-certified prevailing wage tier largely determine which category fits.
How does PERM green card sponsorship differ from H-1B for Antenna Engineers?
The H-1B is a temporary work visa subject to an annual lottery, while PERM-based green card sponsorship leads to permanent residency with no cap concerns at the EB-3 level for most nationalities. PERM requires your employer to conduct a formal recruitment process and obtain DOL labor certification first, making the overall timeline longer, but the outcome is lawful permanent resident status rather than a visa you must repeatedly renew.
Which industries most commonly sponsor Antenna Engineers for green cards?
Defense contractors, satellite and space systems companies, telecommunications infrastructure firms, and aerospace manufacturers are the most consistent sponsors. These employers regularly file PERM petitions for antenna and RF engineering roles because the domestic talent pool for specialized microwave, phased-array, and antenna design work is limited, strengthening their ability to pass the DOL recruitment test.
How can I find Antenna Engineer jobs with green card sponsorship?
Migrate Mate lets you search specifically for Antenna Engineer roles where employers have active green card sponsorship history, filtering out postings from companies unlikely to file a PERM petition. This is more efficient than broad job searches because you can target employers who already understand the EB-2 and EB-3 filing process for engineering roles.
What happens to my green card case if I change employers mid-process?
If you change employers before your I-140 is approved, your PERM certification is tied to the sponsoring employer and cannot transfer. After your I-140 is approved and your priority date becomes current, portability rules under AC21 allow you to move to a same or similar antenna or RF engineering role without restarting the process, provided your I-485 has been pending for at least 180 days.
