Get Access To All JobsTips for Finding Green Card Sponsorship in Chief Revenue Officer
Translate your revenue track record into PERM-ready evidence
PERM requires your employer to document that no qualified U.S. workers are available for the role. Gather performance data, ARR growth figures, and board-level documentation that establishes why your specific background meets the job requirements, not just the category.
Target public companies with established PERM histories
Public companies with dedicated in-house immigration counsel file PERM applications far more systematically than early-stage startups. Search DOL PERM disclosure data to confirm whether a prospective employer has sponsored executive-level roles before negotiating your offer.
Negotiate I-140 concurrency before signing an offer
Ask your employer to file the I-140 immigrant petition concurrently with or immediately after PERM certification. For CRO roles, this accelerates your priority date and protects your green card progress if you change roles under AC21 portability rules later.
Use Migrate Mate to filter roles by green card sponsorship history
CRO postings rarely advertise green card sponsorship upfront. Migrate Mate surfaces employers with active EB-2 and EB-3 filing histories so you can focus outreach on companies that have already cleared the internal approval process for sponsoring senior executives.
Clarify EB-2 versus EB-3 classification with your employer early
CRO roles typically qualify under EB-2 if the position requires a master's degree or the equivalent, but some employers default to EB-3 to reduce DOL scrutiny. Confirm the classification before PERM is filed because reclassification after submission restarts the process.
Verify your priority date against the Visa Bulletin before accepting a timeline
EB-2 and EB-3 backlogs vary sharply by country of birth. Candidates born in India or China face multi-year waits even after I-140 approval. Check the monthly Visa Bulletin from the State Department and factor your specific backlog into employment and residency planning.

Find Chief Revenue Officer JobsChief Revenue Officer Green Card Sponsorship: Frequently Asked Questions
Does a Chief Revenue Officer role qualify for EB-2 or EB-3 green card sponsorship?
CRO positions typically qualify for EB-2 when the employer's minimum requirement is a master's degree or the equivalent in business, finance, marketing, or a related field. If the role is structured around a bachelor's degree plus progressive experience, EB-3 professional classification applies instead. The PERM labor certification must accurately reflect the actual minimum requirements for the specific position, not an inflated credential target.
How does PERM green card sponsorship differ from H-1B sponsorship for a CRO role?
H-1B is a temporary status requiring renewal and subject to an annual lottery cap for most applicants, while PERM green card sponsorship leads to lawful permanent residency with no expiration. The PERM process involves a DOL-supervised labor market test that can take six to eighteen months before the I-140 petition is even filed, making it slower to initiate but far more durable in outcome. There is no annual cap concern at the EB-3 level for most countries outside India and China.
How can I find Chief Revenue Officer jobs where the employer will sponsor a green card?
Most CRO postings don't advertise green card sponsorship in the job description, so filtering by that commitment requires looking at employer PERM filing history rather than job ad language. Migrate Mate aggregates roles from employers with documented EB-2 and EB-3 sponsorship histories, letting you target outreach to organizations that have already navigated the internal approvals required to sponsor senior executive hires.
What does the PERM labor market test involve for a senior executive role like CRO?
PERM requires your employer to conduct a DOL-prescribed recruitment campaign, including job postings, newspaper advertisements, and internal notices, to demonstrate no qualified U.S. workers are available for the specific role. For CRO positions, the employer must define minimum requirements precisely because OFLC audits are more common for high-salary executive roles. Any mismatch between the posted requirements and your actual credentials can trigger an audit or denial that delays your green card timeline by a year or more.
What happens to my green card sponsorship if I change employers after I-140 approval?
Under AC21 portability rules, you can change to a same or similar role after your I-485 adjustment of status application has been pending for 180 days or more without losing your priority date. For CRO to other senior revenue or commercial leadership roles, USCIS evaluates whether the new position shares substantially similar duties and requirements. Document the overlap carefully before switching employers to avoid disrupting an approved I-140.
