Get Access To All JobsTips for Finding Green Card Sponsorship in CRT
Verify your credentials meet PERM standards
PERM requires proof that your CRT qualifications match the job's minimum requirements. Gather your ARRT certification, state radiologic technology license, and any transcripts showing your associate or bachelor's degree before employers begin the audit file.
Target hospitals with established immigration programs
Large health systems and academic medical centers routinely sponsor foreign CRT candidates because they have immigration counsel on retainer. Ask recruiters directly whether their HR team has filed PERM applications for radiology technologists within the past three years.
Search green card sponsoring employers on Migrate Mate
Filter CRT openings by employers with active EB-2 or EB-3 sponsorship history using Migrate Mate. This cuts research time and connects you with facilities already familiar with the PERM filing timeline for clinical imaging roles.
Understand the prevailing wage before negotiating
DOL's OFLC Wage Search lets you look up the prevailing wage for CRT roles by geographic area and experience level. Your offered wage must meet or exceed that figure, so knowing it in advance strengthens your negotiating position without delaying the PERM filing.
Clarify EB-2 versus EB-3 eligibility with your employer
Most CRT positions are filed under EB-3 because the role typically requires an associate degree. If your employer can justify an advanced-degree requirement and you hold a bachelor's or higher in radiologic science, an EB-2 filing may reduce your wait time for certain nationalities.
Confirm your employer is E-Verify enrolled before accepting an offer
USCIS and DOL require employers sponsoring foreign workers to maintain employment eligibility verification records. Confirming E-Verify enrollment before your offer is finalized prevents delays once the PERM recruitment period concludes and the I-140 petition is ready to file.

Find CRT JobsCRT Green Card Sponsorship: Frequently Asked Questions
Do CRT roles qualify for EB-2 or EB-3 green card sponsorship?
Most CRT positions qualify under EB-3 as skilled workers, since the role typically requires an associate degree in radiologic technology plus ARRT certification. EB-2 is possible if your employer can document that the position genuinely requires an advanced degree and you hold one, but this is less common for standard clinical CRT openings.
How does PERM green card sponsorship differ from H-1B sponsorship for CRT professionals?
Unlike the H-1B, PERM-based green card sponsorship has no annual lottery and leads to permanent residency rather than a temporary status. The tradeoff is time: PERM requires a formal recruitment period of roughly 30 to 60 days before DOL certifies the application, and the full EB-3 process from PERM filing to green card approval can take two to five years depending on your country of birth and current USCIS processing times.
What documents does a CRT candidate need for the PERM process?
Your employer builds the audit file, but you'll need to supply your ARRT certification, current state radiologic technology license, educational transcripts, and any equivalency evaluations if your degree was earned outside the United States. Gaps or mismatches between your credentials and the job description's stated requirements are the most common reason PERM audits stall for clinical imaging roles.
How can I find CRT employers who already sponsor green cards?
Migrate Mate lets you search CRT openings filtered by employers with documented EB-2 or EB-3 sponsorship history, so you're not spending weeks cold-applying to facilities unfamiliar with the PERM process. Targeting employers with prior PERM filings in radiology significantly shortens the path from offer letter to petition submission.
Can I change CRT employers after my I-140 petition is approved?
Once your I-140 is approved and you've been in an approved or pending adjustment of status for 180 days or more, portability rules under AC21 allow you to change to a same or similar occupation without restarting the green card process. CRT-to-CRT transfers generally qualify, but your new employer must be willing to maintain the sponsorship and your priority date carries over from the original petition.
