IT Asset Management Green Card Jobs
IT Asset Management roles qualify for EB-2 and EB-3 green card sponsorship through the PERM labor certification process, which requires your employer to document that no qualified U.S. worker is available. Roles involving hardware lifecycle governance, software license compliance, and ITAM tooling like ServiceNow often satisfy specialty occupation criteria that support permanent sponsorship.

Align your credentials with PERM requirements
PERM requires your employer to define a minimum qualification tied to the role. Document that your degree field, whether IT, computer science, or information systems, directly maps to the ITAM responsibilities listed in the job description before the process begins.
Target employers with active PERM filing history
Search DOL OFLC disclosure data to identify employers who have previously filed PERM applications for IT Asset Management or closely related SOC codes. Repeat filers have established internal processes, which shortens your timeline and reduces employer reluctance.
Clarify EB-2 versus EB-3 eligibility early
If your role requires only a bachelor's degree, you'll likely land in EB-3. An advanced degree in information management or a CGFNS-style credential evaluation showing graduate-level equivalency can qualify you for EB-2, which carries a shorter priority date wait for most countries.
Use Migrate Mate to filter sponsoring employers
Search Migrate Mate to find IT Asset Management roles at employers with documented green card sponsorship history. Filtering by PERM filing activity saves weeks of manual research and connects you directly with roles where permanent sponsorship is already part of the hiring process.
Confirm the prevailing wage tier before your offer
Run the OFLC Wage Search using your job title and work location before accepting any offer. PERM locks your employer into paying at least the prevailing wage level, so knowing whether the role is wage-level 2 or 3 helps you evaluate whether the offer satisfies DOL requirements from the start.
Understand concurrent filing if your priority date is current
For EB-3 applicants from most countries outside India and China, USCIS allows concurrent filing of the I-140 immigrant petition and I-485 adjustment of status application once your priority date is current, meaning you can lock in permanent residency status faster than a sequential process allows.

Find IT Asset Management JobsIT Asset Management Green Card Sponsorship: Frequently Asked Questions
Does IT Asset Management qualify as a specialty occupation for green card sponsorship?
IT Asset Management roles routinely qualify under EB-2 and EB-3 because the work, governing hardware lifecycles, managing software license compliance, and operating ITAM platforms like ServiceNow or Flexera, typically requires at minimum a bachelor's degree in information technology, computer science, or a related field. Your employer must document this degree requirement in the PERM job description to support the filing.
How does EB-3 green card sponsorship differ from H-1B for IT Asset Management roles?
H-1B is a temporary nonimmigrant status capped at 85,000 per year and subject to an annual lottery, while EB-3 green card sponsorship leads directly to lawful permanent residency with no lottery and no annual cap on petition approvals. The tradeoff is timeline: PERM labor certification typically adds six to twelve months before the I-140 petition even begins, but the outcome is permanent rather than a renewable two- or three-year work authorization.
How can I find IT Asset Management employers who sponsor green cards?
Migrate Mate lets you search IT Asset Management roles filtered by employers with active green card and PERM sponsorship history. Because most general job boards don't surface sponsorship intent at the search level, using a platform built around employment-based immigration data significantly narrows the field to employers already prepared to file on your behalf.
What documentation do I need before my employer can file a PERM application for an ITAM role?
Your employer will need your academic credentials, including degree transcripts and any professional certifications relevant to the role, a credential evaluation if your degree is from outside the U.S., and documentation that your qualifications match the minimum requirements written into the PERM job description. USCIS and DOL both scrutinize whether the stated requirements are genuinely tied to normal business necessity rather than tailored to a specific foreign worker.
Can my employer file for EB-2 sponsorship if my IT Asset Management role only lists a bachelor's degree as the requirement?
EB-2 requires either an advanced degree or a bachelor's degree plus five years of progressive post-baccalaureate experience in the field. If the PERM job description only mandates a bachelor's degree, the petition will fall under EB-3 by default. Your employer would need to restructure the role's requirements and demonstrate business necessity for the advanced degree before USCIS will accept an EB-2 classification.
