Honeywell Aerospace Materials Engineering (MatEng) is seeking an Advanced Materials and Process Engineer to support new and existing products including aerospace gas turbine engines used for propulsion and auxiliary power. This is a challenging, multi-dimensional role that requires the individual to perform at a high level while working multiple concurrent task assignments. You will report directly to our Senior Engineering Manager, and you’ll work out of our Tempe, AZ location on a Hybrid work schedule.
ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
In the laboratory role, the candidate will operate a wide variety of analytical equipment used to support metallurgical evaluations of Honeywell Aerospace components. The candidate is expected to be self-motivated and support day-to-day operation of the Metals lab, including:
- Scheduling daily activities
- Developing & performing test processes
- Working with lab technicians to provide guidance and oversight to the technical staff
- Providing interpretation of data/results to internal customers
