Get Access To All JobsTips for Finding Green Card Sponsorship as a Paid Media Manager
Match your degree to the role
PERM requires your credentials to align with the job's stated education requirements. A degree in marketing, communications, or business typically supports a Paid Media Manager filing. Degrees in unrelated fields can trigger RFEs during the I-140 stage.
Target employers with PERM filing history
Search the OFLC Wage Search tool to find companies that have previously filed PERM applications for marketing or advertising roles. Employers with that history already understand the process and are far less likely to withdraw sponsorship mid-filing.
Understand EB-2 versus EB-3 classification early
Paid Media Manager roles typically qualify under EB-3 as skilled workers requiring a bachelor's degree. EB-2 applies if the role requires an advanced degree or you have specialized credentials. Your priority date and wait time differ significantly between the two categories.
Find green card sponsoring employers on Migrate Mate
Search Migrate Mate to identify Paid Media Manager openings at companies with active EB-2 and EB-3 sponsorship history. Filtering by sponsorship status upfront saves time and focuses your outreach on employers already familiar with PERM requirements.
Clarify sponsorship terms before accepting an offer
Ask whether the employer will cover PERM attorney fees and filing costs, and confirm they intend to retain you through the full green card process. Some employers sponsor the PERM but stop short of filing the I-140, which restarts your timeline entirely.
Document campaign performance metrics for your petition
USCIS and DOL review whether your role qualifies as a specialty occupation under PERM. Quantified evidence of specialized duties, such as managing programmatic ad budgets or overseeing multi-channel attribution, strengthens the employer's labor certification and reduces audit risk.
Green Card Paid Media Manager: Frequently Asked Questions
Does a Paid Media Manager role qualify for EB-2 or EB-3 green card sponsorship?
Paid Media Manager positions most commonly qualify under EB-3, which covers skilled workers requiring at least a bachelor's degree in marketing, advertising, communications, or a related field. EB-2 sponsorship is available if the employer specifies an advanced degree requirement or you hold a master's degree and the role reflects that level of specialization. Your employer's job description and your credentials together determine which category applies.
How does green card sponsorship differ from H-1B sponsorship for this role?
The EB-2 and EB-3 green card process leads to permanent residency rather than a temporary status, so there's no visa expiration to manage once you're approved. Unlike the H-1B visa, employment-based green cards have no annual lottery, though EB-3 does have per-country priority date backlogs for nationals from India and China. The PERM process typically takes one to two years from labor certification through I-140 approval before you reach adjustment of status.
What does the PERM labor certification process require for a Paid Media Manager?
Your employer must conduct a DOL-supervised recruitment campaign to demonstrate no qualified U.S. workers are available for the role at the prevailing wage. The prevailing wage is determined through OFLC before recruitment begins. For a Paid Media Manager, the employer must advertise the position with specific education and experience requirements that match your credentials, and retain documentation of all applicants reviewed and rejected during the recruitment window.
How can I find Paid Media Manager jobs that include green card sponsorship?
Migrate Mate lets you search Paid Media Manager openings filtered by employers with EB-2 and EB-3 sponsorship history, so you're not cold-applying to companies unfamiliar with PERM. Targeting employers who have filed for marketing roles before is more efficient than relying on job descriptions that vaguely mention 'visa sponsorship available,' which often refers only to H-1B and not employment-based green cards.
Can I switch employers after my PERM is filed?
Once your PERM is filed but before your I-140 is approved, changing employers generally restarts the entire process with the new company. After your I-140 is approved and your priority date is current or close to current, AC21 portability allows you to change to a same or similar occupational role without losing your place in the queue. Paid Media Manager roles are broadly categorized, which often supports portability arguments, but the new role must be in the same SOC classification.
