Essential Functions
- Provide leadership and establish a safety culture.
- Conduct audits of the project site to verify compliance and identify unsafe conditions.
- Maintain documentation necessary to comply with the Site Safety Management Plan, OSHA and other applicable regulations.
- Work with management to enforce safety policies and procedures that help prevent accidents.
- Responsible for incident investigations, complaints, and recommend measures to management to prevent reoccurrences.
- Interact with OSHA and other regulatory agencies regarding citations, accidents, claims, site visits and audits.
- Organize and conduct safety meetings and training.
- Able to adapt to a flexible, fast-paced and dynamic work environment.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Must be able to perform as a First-Responder for injuries or other urgent situations.
Job Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Ability to write and implement written site safety management plan.
- Understanding of manufacturing environment and risks present.
- Good comprehension of Health & Safety OSHA rules applicable to manufacturing.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to use Microsoft Office Products including: Outlook; Word; Power Point; etc.
- Must be organized.
- Must have strong computer and presentation skills.
- Team player.
- Detail-oriented.
- Must be able to develop and deliver training.
- Must be able to respond to after-hours emergencies when necessary.
- Must be able to comply with swing-shift hours if required.
Education and Experience
Minimum of 3 years manufacturing experience required. OSHA 10 Hour & 30 Hour Certification.
Work Environment
Manufacturing plant environment with extreme fluctuation in temperature. Dusty and noisy environment. Exposure to odors and fumes.
