Align your credentials to EB-2 requirements
An EB-2 petition requires a position calling for an advanced degree or equivalent. Document your MBA or relevant master's degree, and ensure your resume maps competencies directly to the Sales Enablement Program Manager job description USCIS and DOL will evaluate.
Target companies with active PERM filings
Search the DOL's OFLC disclosure data to find employers who have filed PERM applications for program manager or sales operations roles before. Repeated PERM filings signal an established sponsorship process, reducing delays caused by employer inexperience.
Verify the job description supports specialty occupation
PERM and I-140 approvals depend on the role requiring a specific degree field, not just any bachelor's degree. Push your employer to define the position as requiring a degree in business, communications, or a related field, citing O*NET's classification for this occupation.
Negotiate PERM filing into your offer timeline
PERM labor certification adds months before I-140 even begins. When negotiating your offer, ask the employer to start PERM immediately after your start date rather than waiting for a standard one-year review cycle, which is common but not required.
Use Migrate Mate to find sponsoring employers
Searching broadly wastes time on employers who have never sponsored a green card. Use Migrate Mate to filter Sales Enablement Program Manager roles by companies with verified employment-based sponsorship history, so every application targets a realistic opportunity.
Confirm prevailing wage tier before accepting an offer
DOL assigns a prevailing wage level to your PERM application using the OFLC Wage Search tool. If your offered salary falls below the certified wage level, your PERM filing will be denied, so verify wage compliance with your employer before signing.
Green Card Sales Enablement Program Manager: Frequently Asked Questions
Does a Sales Enablement Program Manager role qualify for EB-2 or EB-3 sponsorship?
Both categories apply depending on how the employer defines the position. EB-2 applies when the role requires an advanced degree or its equivalent in experience. EB-3 covers the role as a skilled professional position requiring at least a bachelor's degree. Most Sales Enablement Program Manager postings specify a bachelor's minimum, qualifying under EB-3, though employers can structure the role to support EB-2 if the duties and degree requirement justify it.
How does green card sponsorship differ from H-1B sponsorship for this role?
H-1B visa sponsorship is temporary and subject to an annual lottery, creating uncertainty for both you and the employer. PERM-based green card sponsorship has no lottery, no annual cap at the EB-3 level for most countries outside India and China, and results in permanent residency rather than a renewable temporary status. The tradeoff is time: PERM labor certification, I-140 filing, and adjustment of status can take two to four years or longer depending on your country of birth.
What does the PERM process look like for a Sales Enablement Program Manager position?
Your employer files a PERM application with DOL after conducting a federally mandated recruitment campaign to verify no qualified U.S. workers are available. DOL certifies or audits the application, then the employer files an I-140 immigrant petition with USCIS. Once the I-140 is approved and your priority date becomes current in the Visa Bulletin, you file for adjustment of status or consular processing to receive your green card.
How do I find Sales Enablement Program Manager jobs that include green card sponsorship?
Most job postings don't clearly indicate whether an employer will sponsor permanent residency, which makes targeted searching difficult. Migrate Mate surfaces roles at companies with verified employment-based green card filing history, so you can focus your applications on employers who have already demonstrated willingness to sponsor PERM and I-140 petitions for program management roles rather than discovering late in the process that an employer won't commit.
Can my employer start PERM while I'm still on a work visa like H-1B or OPT?
Yes, and starting early is strategically important. An employer can begin PERM labor certification at any point during your employment, independent of your current visa status. Filing PERM early locks in your priority date, which determines your place in the green card queue. For nationals of countries with longer backlogs, an earlier priority date can mean years of difference in when you receive permanent residency.
