Green Card Product Owner Jobs
Product Owner roles qualify for EB-2 and EB-3 green card sponsorship through the PERM labor certification process, which requires employers to document that no qualified U.S. worker is available before filing your I-140 petition. Most Product Owner positions meet the specialty occupation threshold, making employer-sponsored permanent residency a realistic path for qualified foreign professionals.

Job Description
The Senior Product Manager 2 is a key member of the Nordstrom Inventory Product Management team, responsible for establishing and executing the strategic capability roadmap for OmniTrace, Nordstrom's AI-powered inventory intelligence platform, delivering anomaly detection, lifecycle traceability, real-time inventory visibility, and AI-driven insights across the enterprise. This role plays a critical function in shifting inventory management from reactive reconciliation to proactive, AI-assisted prevention, improving operational efficiency, reducing shrink, accelerating issue resolution, and building the foundation for self-healing, autonomous anomaly resolution.
The Senior Product Manager 2 will define and own the OmniTrace product vision and multi-year roadmap, in partnership with executive leadership and cross-functional teams, and execute against it. To accomplish that, the product manager will plan the product roadmap and prioritize the applicable technology backlog, lead product discovery and prototyping, drive intake and use case definition across business domains, and measure and communicate results of the anomaly detection, traceability, and inventory visibility capabilities in production, all while ensuring stakeholder and strategic alignment across a highly cross-functional set of partners spanning Supply Chain, Store Operations, Merchandising Operations, Accounting, and Finance.
A day in the life...
- Develop and own the strategic product vision and roadmap for OmniTrace's AI-powered anomaly detection, lifecycle traceability, and real-time inventory visibility capabilities
- Own the enterprise dashboard UI experience, giving business and operations teams a single, real-time view into enterprise inventory stock on hand, movement, and transaction lineage search
- Lead product discovery and rapid prototyping — driving aligned MVP scope, delivery estimates, and prioritized execution across anomaly detection and inventory visibility domains
- Own intake and use case definition, working with business partners to translate operational pain points into detection rules, decision trees, and recommended actions
- Define the roadmap toward self-healing, autonomous anomaly resolution — progressing use cases from detection, to AI-assisted recommendation, to human-in-the-loop automation, to guardrailed auto-resolution
- Partner with Supply Chain, Store Operations, Merchandising Operations, Accounting, and Finance to ground product requirements in operational and financial reality
- Support both front-end UI experiences and back-end system-to-system consumers, ensuring anomaly, stock on hand, movement, and lineage signals are equally usable by human operators and downstream automated workflows
- Build business cases with finance and business partners that quantify shrink reduction, resolution time (MTTR) improvement, and labor savings from automation
- Drive prioritization and alignment across cross-functional business and technology stakeholders, including engineering, data science, and operations
- Define product requirements, process flows, data schemas, and system integration specifications in alignment with north star architecture
- Define and measure KPIs for product features — detection accuracy, mean-time-to-resolution, automation/self-healing rate, search and dashboard adoption, and data freshness/latency — and support ongoing system health
You own this if you have...
- Experience: Minimum 5 years' experience in product management, technology, or operations
- Technical & Domain Expertise: Strong understanding of inventory management systems and AI/ML-driven anomaly detection concepts, including how detection models, confidence scoring, and automated recommendations are built and evaluated
- Strategic Vision & Ambiguity: Ability to set a compelling product vision and multi-year roadmap toward autonomous, self-healing operations, and to thrive in ambiguity where requirements, ownership, and scope are still forming
- Execution: Proven ability to lead discovery and delivery across multiple business capability teams in parallel, drive to an aligned MVP, and manage a prioritized backlog spanning UI, search, and system-to-system consumers
- Analytical Skills: Ability to define, measure, and analyze processes and model performance to identify improvement opportunities and prioritize automation candidates
- Communication & Collaboration: Strong written and verbal communication skills, with proven ability to build cross-functional relationships and drive alignment across Supply Chain, Store Operations, Merchandising Operations, Accounting, Finance, and engineering — up to executive leadership

Get Access To All JobsTips for Finding Green Card Sponsorship as a Product Owner
Document your product management credentials early
Gather degree transcripts, professional certifications, and performance reviews before your job search. PERM requires your employer to verify your qualifications meet the role's minimum requirements, so gaps in documentation can delay labor certification by months.
Target employers with active PERM filing history
Search OFLC disclosure data to identify companies that have recently filed PERM applications for Product Owner or product management roles. Employers already familiar with the process are far less likely to withdraw sponsorship mid-filing due to cost or complexity concerns.
Clarify EB-2 versus EB-3 eligibility during offer negotiation
If your role requires a bachelor's degree and five or more years of specialized experience, ask whether the employer will support an EB-2 petition. EB-2 can reduce your wait time significantly if your country of birth faces EB-3 backlogs.
Use Migrate Mate to find verified sponsoring employers
Filter Product Owner jobs by green card sponsorship history using Migrate Mate. You'll see which employers have filed PERM applications for comparable roles, so you spend your time on companies that have already committed to the sponsorship process.
Confirm PERM job duties match your actual work
DOL audits PERM applications where the posted job description doesn't align with what the sponsored worker actually does. Before your employer files, review the labor certification job duties carefully and flag any discrepancies between the posting and your day-to-day responsibilities.
Factor priority date retrogression into your timeline planning
For applicants born in India or China, EB-2 and EB-3 priority dates are often years behind the filing date. Ask your employer to file your I-140 as early as possible, since your priority date locks in when USCIS receives that petition, not when PERM is certified.
Green Card Product Owner: Frequently Asked Questions
Do Product Owner roles qualify for EB-2 or EB-3 green card sponsorship?
Most Product Owner positions qualify for both EB-2 and EB-3 depending on how the employer structures the job requirements. EB-2 applies when the role requires an advanced degree or equivalent experience demonstrating specialized expertise. EB-3 covers roles requiring at least a bachelor's degree. Your employer's immigration counsel typically determines which category fits the posted position and your credentials.
How does PERM green card sponsorship differ from H-1B sponsorship for Product Owner roles?
H-1B visa is a temporary nonimmigrant status capped at 85,000 per year and subject to an annual lottery. PERM-based green card sponsorship leads to lawful permanent residency and has no annual cap at the petition level, though per-country visa availability can create wait times. The PERM process also requires your employer to conduct a formal recruitment campaign before filing, which adds three to six months to the timeline compared to an H-1B transfer.
How long does the green card process typically take for a Product Owner?
The PERM labor certification stage alone takes six to twelve months under standard DOL processing, plus additional time if your application is audited. After PERM certification, your employer files the I-140 petition with USCIS. For applicants born outside high-demand countries, adjustment of status or consular processing can follow within one to two years. For Indian and Chinese nationals, EB-2 and EB-3 backlogs can extend the total timeline significantly.
How can I find Product Owner jobs where the employer will sponsor a green card?
Migrate Mate lets you search Product Owner roles specifically filtered by green card sponsorship history, drawing on OFLC PERM filing data to surface employers who have sponsored comparable positions before. This saves you from applying broadly and discovering late in the process that a company won't support PERM. Focusing on employers with a track record of sponsoring product management roles reduces the risk of an offer being withdrawn.
Can my employer start the PERM process while I'm on H-1B status?
Yes, employers commonly initiate PERM labor certification for H-1B workers well before their six-year H-1B limit is reached. Filing an approved I-140 before your fifth year of H-1B status makes you eligible for H-1B extensions beyond six years in one-year increments under AC21 portability rules. Starting PERM early protects your ability to stay authorized while the green card process runs its full course.
