Strategy Intern Green Card Jobs
Strategy Intern roles can qualify for EB-2 or EB-3 green card sponsorship when the position requires a bachelor's degree in business, economics, or a related field and the employer files PERM labor certification. Sponsorship converts a temporary role into a permanent U.S. residency pathway, making employer selection and credential alignment critical from the start.

Get Access To All JobsTips for Finding Green Card Sponsorship as a Strategy Intern
Target employers with active PERM filing history
Search DOL PERM disclosure data for companies that have sponsored strategy or business analyst roles before. Employers already familiar with the PERM process are far more likely to sponsor again than those filing for the first time.
Ask about green card intent before accepting an offer
Some employers offer internships that convert to full-time roles, but only a subset will commit to sponsorship at that stage. Confirm the employer's green card policy before the offer stage, not after your start date.
Use Migrate Mate to filter sponsoring employers
Sorting job listings by visa sponsorship history is faster than reviewing PERM filings manually. Migrate Mate surfaces strategy roles at employers with documented green card sponsorship activity, so you spend less time on cold outreach.
Understand that EB-3 filing can start before internship ends
PERM labor certification can be initiated while you're still working in the role, as long as the job offer is for permanent, full-time employment. Confirm with your employer's immigration counsel whether the internship-to-full-time conversion timeline supports early filing.

Find Strategy Intern JobsStrategy Intern Green Card Sponsorship: Frequently Asked Questions
Can a strategy internship qualify for EB-2 or EB-3 green card sponsorship?
Yes, if the employer defines the role as requiring at least a bachelor's degree in a relevant field like business, economics, or finance, it can qualify for EB-3 professional sponsorship or, in cases requiring an advanced degree, EB-2. The employer files PERM labor certification with DOL, then submits an I-140 petition to USCIS, and you apply for adjustment of status or an immigrant visa once a priority date becomes current.
How does green card sponsorship differ from H-1B for a strategy intern role?
H-1B is a temporary work visa capped at 85,000 per year with a lottery, while EB-3 green card sponsorship has no annual lottery and leads to permanent residency. The trade-off is timeline: PERM labor certification alone takes six months to over a year, and priority date backlogs vary by country of birth. For nationals of countries without long EB-3 backlogs, the total process can still be faster than waiting on repeated H-1B lottery cycles.
What credentials should I prepare before a sponsoring employer starts the PERM process?
You'll need a credential evaluation if your degree is from outside the U.S., since PERM requires proof the candidate meets the minimum education requirement. Order a course-by-course evaluation from a NACES-member evaluator early. You'll also want transcripts, a current resume aligned to the specific job duties, and any professional certifications that support the specialty occupation determination under USCIS standards.
Where can I find strategy intern jobs where the employer will sponsor a green card?
Migrate Mate filters strategy and business roles by employers with documented PERM and green card sponsorship history, which saves significant time compared to manually reviewing DOL disclosure files. You can search by role type and sponsorship status to identify employers who have filed for similar positions before, rather than cold-applying to companies with no sponsorship track record.
Does the strategy intern role need to be full-time for the employer to file PERM?
Yes. PERM labor certification requires the position to be a permanent, full-time job offer, which means at least 35 hours per week. A part-time or temporary internship alone cannot serve as the basis for a PERM filing. The sponsorship is typically structured around a conversion to a full-time strategy role, so the internship functions as a pipeline into the permanent position that the employer sponsors.
