Identity is the key to unlocking the potential of AI. Okta secures AI by building the trusted, neutral infrastructure that enables organizations to safely embrace this new era. This work requires a relentless drive to solve complex challenges with real-world stakes. We are looking for builders and owners who operate with speed and urgency and execute with excellence.
This is an opportunity to do career-defining work. We're all in on this mission. If you are too, let's talk.
ABOUT THE ROLE
Are you an experienced, results-driven product leader with a builder mindset who is passionate about delivering frictionless enterprise security experiences? Join Okta as a Group Product Manager to spearhead the delivery and operational scale of Okta’s Privileged Access Management (PAM) product suite—built upon the robust Okta Identity Cloud for scale, simplicity, and seamless enterprise integration.
In this role, you will be a critical execution engine, driving a high-velocity roadmap from concept to delivery. Success demands a sharp product intuition, an ability to analyze conversion and adoption metrics, and the cross-functional gravity required to strategically prioritize amidst competing demands from various teams. You will collaborate closely with leaders in product architecture, engineering, design, and go-to-market functions to ensure our security solutions meet the evolving needs of modern cloud-first enterprises.
JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Product Delivery & Execution: Ensure the timely, predictable, and within-budget delivery of the PAM product roadmap. Partner with scrum teams, engineering leadership, and technical program managers (TPMs) to consistently deliver features on time.
- The Builder Mindset: Work closely with architecture, engineering, and design to specify platform-first experiences that delight customers at scale. Rigorously prioritize across multiple investment areas within the security domain to drive maximum velocity.
- Data-Driven Outcomes: Partner with analytics teams to track product usage metrics and conversion funnels, directly tying feature implementation to improved security outcomes and business growth.
- Cross-Functional Orchestration: Manage highly complex dependencies across corporate stakeholders, working seamlessly with Engineering, Design, Product Marketing, Legal, Compliance, and Sales to safely and swiftly clear the path to market.
- Customer Engagement: Engage deeply with enterprise customers, prospects, and internal stakeholders to capture detailed requirements and validate problems. Ensure beta programs capture high-quality feedback that is rapidly incorporated into product iterations.
- Team Leadership & Ownership: Maintain a customer-success-focused mindset, actively assisting the field with critical requests. Manage the overall health and morale of your project teams, fostering a culture of accountability and candor while mentoring early-in-career product managers.
MINIMUM REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
- You must have a builder mindset.
- 10+ years of product management experience, with a proven track record of owning and delivering on large, complex technical projects.
- Strong technical background that allows you to influence technical design, evaluate infrastructure impacts, and collaborate effectively with senior engineering peers on technical trade-offs.
- Demonstrated experience with product growth and scale, specifically using experimentation, data analytics, or conversion metrics to drive adoption.
- Ability to produce solid action plans and clear directions from often incomplete, conflicting, or ambiguous inputs.
- Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills, capable of building consensus across conflicting priorities and presenting clear execution paths to leadership.
- A strong alignment with Okta’s core PM values: Team-first mentality, an unyielding ownership mindset, resilience, and a learner’s humility.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field; MBA or equivalent experience is a plus.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Deep knowledge or familiarity with enterprise security architectures, identity and access management (IAM), or privileged access management (PAM) frameworks.
- Experience with developer-focused platforms, cloud security tools, APIs, and modern integrations.
