H-1B Visa Client Executive Jobs
Client Executive roles sit squarely within H-1B specialty occupation territory, requiring a bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field. Employers filing H-1B petitions for this title must certify a prevailing wage through the DOL before USCIS approves the petition, and the 85,000-cap lottery applies unless your employer qualifies for a cap-exempt filing.

Frame your degree for specialty occupation
USCIS evaluates whether your specific degree field directly relates to Client Executive duties. A general business or marketing degree typically clears the bar, but a liberal arts degree needs a clear connection to client management or revenue strategy documented in your application.
Target employers with consistent LCA filing history
Use the OFLC Wage Search to filter Labor Condition Applications by the SOC code for sales and client-facing roles. Employers who file repeatedly for this title already understand the specialty occupation argument, which reduces your risk of an RFE during adjudication.
Search verified H-1B sponsors on Migrate Mate
Filter Client Executive openings on Migrate Mate by employers with documented H-1B filing history for this role. That narrows your search to companies that have already cleared the specialty occupation hurdle with USCIS for this specific position type.
Align your offer letter with DOL wage requirements
Before signing, verify that your offered base salary meets at least the Level I prevailing wage for your metro area under the DOL's wage determination. Offers below the certified LCA wage level will trigger a USCIS denial regardless of how strong your specialty occupation evidence is.
Negotiate cap-exempt filing if your employer qualifies
If your prospective employer is a university, nonprofit research institution, or government entity, your H-1B petition bypasses the lottery entirely. Many Client Executive roles at hospital systems or university-affiliated organizations qualify, cutting your wait from a lottery outcome to a direct filing.
Time your job search around the April filing window
H-1B cap-subject petitions for October 1 start dates require USCIS registration in March. If you're on OPT, confirm your EAD expiration relative to that timeline so your employer can file with enough runway for the 60-day grace period if your OPT ends before October 1.

Find Client Executive JobsClient Executive H-1B Visa: Frequently Asked Questions
Does a Client Executive role qualify as an H-1B specialty occupation?
Yes, as long as the position requires at least a bachelor's degree in a directly related field such as business, marketing, communications, or a related discipline. The employer must document this requirement in the LCA and petition. Generic client-facing sales roles without a degree requirement don't qualify, so the job description needs to specify the educational prerequisite explicitly.
Which SOC code does USCIS use for Client Executive positions?
Client Executive roles are typically filed under SOC 11-2022 (Sales Managers) or 41-3099 (Sales Representatives, Services, All Other), depending on how the employer defines the role. The SOC code drives the prevailing wage level on the LCA, so confirm with your employer which code they intend to use before the DOL certification is filed. You can cross-reference the role's duties on O*NET.
How do I find employers who have sponsored H-1B visas for Client Executive roles?
Migrate Mate filters job listings by verified H-1B filing history, so you can identify employers who have successfully petitioned for this specific role type. You can also search DOL disclosure data through OFLC Wage Search to see which companies have filed LCAs under the relevant SOC codes for client management and sales positions in your target metro area.
Can my employer file my H-1B petition before I receive my full commission structure?
Yes, but the LCA must certify a base wage that meets the prevailing wage for the role and location. Variable compensation like commissions can supplement that base but cannot substitute for it. USCIS requires the employer to guarantee the certified wage regardless of performance, so commission-heavy offers need a base component that independently satisfies the DOL wage requirement.
What happens to my H-1B status if I move from one Client Executive role to another employer?
You need to file an H-1B transfer petition with the new employer before your last day at your current job. Under AC21 portability, you can start working for the new employer once the transfer petition is filed and receipted, without waiting for approval. The new employer files a fresh LCA and I-129, and your cap-subject status carries over so no new lottery slot is required.
