Get Access To All JobsTips for Finding H-1B Visa Sponsorship in Integration Architect
Verify your degree aligns with the role
USCIS scrutinizes specialty occupation eligibility for Integration Architects. A degree in computer science, information systems, or software engineering maps cleanly. A business or unrelated degree weakens the petition, so document any bridge through coursework or certifications early.
Target employers with active LCA filings
Search DOL's OFLC Wage Search to confirm a company has filed Labor Condition Applications for integration or enterprise architecture roles. Prior LCA activity signals an established H-1B sponsorship process, reducing delays once you receive an offer.
Use Migrate Mate to filter sponsoring employers
Pull up Integration Architect listings on Migrate Mate to see which employers have verified H-1B filing history for this role. Filtering by sponsorship track record before applying saves time spent pursuing companies that won't file.
Benchmark your wage against the prevailing rate
Look up the Level II or III wage for your SOC code and work location using OFLC Wage Search before negotiating your offer. Your employer's LCA must certify at least that rate, so knowing it prevents offers that USCIS will flag during adjudication.
Clarify integration tool ownership in your offer letter
H-1B petitions for Integration Architects require evidence of a bona fide employer-employee relationship. An offer letter specifying the systems you'll own, middleware platforms, and reporting structure strengthens the I-129 filing and reduces the risk of a Request for Evidence.
File premium processing if your start date is fixed
USCIS premium processing upgrades adjudication to 15 business days. For Integration Architect roles tied to a product launch or go-live date, ask your employer to include it from the initial filing rather than upgrading after a delay has already occurred.
H-1B Visa Integration Architect: Frequently Asked Questions
Does an Integration Architect role qualify as an H-1B specialty occupation?
Yes. Integration Architect positions qualify because they normally require at least a bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, software engineering, or a directly related field. USCIS evaluates whether the specific duties, such as designing API frameworks, managing middleware, and governing enterprise data flows, require that theoretical and practical application of highly specialized knowledge.
How do I find employers who actively sponsor H-1B visas for Integration Architect positions?
Search Migrate Mate to browse Integration Architect listings filtered by employers with verified H-1B filing history. You can also cross-reference a company's past Labor Condition Applications through the DOL's OFLC disclosure data, which lists the job title, wage level, and worksite location for every certified LCA.
What documents should I have ready before an employer starts my H-1B petition?
Have your degree transcripts, diploma, and any credential evaluation ready before your employer engages an attorney. For Integration Architects, a detailed position description covering the systems, protocols, and platforms involved strengthens the specialty occupation argument. If your degree title doesn't map directly to the role, a credential evaluation from a NACES-member organization helps bridge the gap.
Can I switch Integration Architect jobs while on an H-1B without losing my status?
Yes, through H-1B portability under AC21. If your new employer files a new I-129 petition before your current H-1B expires and the new role is in the same or a similar occupational classification, you can start working for the new employer once the petition receipt is issued, without waiting for full approval.
What wage level should an Integration Architect H-1B petition use?
Most Integration Architect roles are filed at DOL Wage Level III or IV, reflecting the specialized judgment, independent authority, and cross-system design responsibility the role carries. Filing at Level I or II for a senior integration role increases the likelihood of a USCIS Request for Evidence challenging whether the wage reflects the actual complexity of the position. Verify the applicable prevailing wage using the OFLC Wage Search before your employer submits the LCA.
