Duties:
- Design, develop, and drive next-generation, cloud-ready applications for Research enterprise solutions targeting Schwab consultants and clients.
- Participate in ground-up modernization projects to improve the user experience and collaborate with technical architects to develop modern technical architectures.
- Lead or participate in projects and mentor junior staff.
- Lead or participate in developing cutting-edge proofs of concept to be adopted into the enterprise tech stack.
- Analyze business problems and processes, help refine requirements, and design solutions.
- Collaborate with Enterprise Architects to research innovative concepts in the FinTech space.
- Drive continuous integration and deployment strategies, leveraging tools like Jenkins/Bamboo with a DevOps philosophy.
- Perform level three production support activities if level one and level two teams are unable to resolve production issues.
- Search out and evangelize new and emerging technologies, including open-source tools.

Job Requirements:
Requires Bachelor’s in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field and 24 months of experience in a related occupation.
Experience must include 24 months of experience involving the following:
- Designing and developing Java, Springboot microservices and event-driven platforms
- Building scalable, high-performance RESTful APIs with enterprise integration patterns using RabbitMQ
- SQL and No SQL Databases including MS SQL Server, Oracle DB, and Mongo DB
- Financial services with focus of Asset, Wealth Management & Investment Research domains
- Supporting investment research capabilities in Python, Matlab and Kotlin coding languages
- Building responsive, user-focused applications with Angular and JavaScript
- Developing and deploying cloud-ready applications on Pivotal Cloud Foundry (PCF) or similar cloud platforms for investment solutions
- Developing and deploying applications on Linux Virtual Machines
- CI/CD pipelines using Bamboo and GitHub
- Static code analysis tools including Sonarqube, Veracode
- Agile methodologies and Atlassian tools including JIRA and Confluence
