- Learn all aspects of the safe operation of our test equipment.
- Ensure safe operation at all times while following all NOV HSE procedures.
- Monitor and perform required maintenance and repairs of the equipment to ensure equipment reliability.
- Perform daily inspections to keep equipment in proper working condition.
- Participate in Engineering Project meetings as needed to support testing efforts.
- Be flexible with Engineering teams to accomplish testing goals recognizing that many tests will never have been run before. Creativity and a can-do attitude to find ways to safely accomplish testing goals as required.
- Maintain a high degree of attention to cleanliness and the organization of the test areas.
- Other responsibilities as required.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
Formal higher education is not required. Experience in a shop environment, heavy equipment operation, downhole tool function testing, data acquisition and maintenance knowledge is a plus. The most important requirements are attitude, an aptitude to learn to safely operate the equipment, a willingness to learn, a desire to continuously improve and a passion for safety. Being a self-starter is a must, as well as an ability to keep a positive attitude in an ever-changing testing environment.
