Business Intelligence jobs with H-1B1 Singapore visa sponsorship let Singaporean professionals work in the U.S. without a lottery or USCIS petition. About the Team
Our Business Intelligence team exists at the intersection of data and strategy, partnering closely with every department to ensure information is accessible, accurate, and actionable. We build the data products, pipelines, and infrastructure that power decision-making across the organization — from surfacing new business insights to moving data between systems with precision and reliability. As part of the DoorDash family, we are deeply focused on integrating SevenRooms' data ecosystem into the broader organization, creating connections that compound in value over time. We are a collaborative, business-first team that believes great data infrastructure is foundational to every meaningful outcome the company achieves.
About the Role
In this role, you will sit at a strategic vertex within our technology organization, owning critical pieces of infrastructure that the entire business depends on. You will hit the ground running — establishing new API connections to external data sources, modeling and surfacing data to key stakeholders, and architecting automated AI flows that expand productivity across teams. A significant focus will be on GTM-aligned data initiatives, as well as building the underlying systems that enable AI capabilities within our database and business platforms. You will also play a vital integration role, marrying data between SevenRooms and DoorDash in ways that have yet to be fully realized, making this both a highly technical and highly strategic position. Within 6 to 12 months, you will be expected to have deep familiarity across our full data stack — including DBT, Looker, BigQuery, Fivetran, Census, Cloud Functions, Salesforce, and NetSuite — independently driving initiatives across multiple departments and establishing governance standards that ensure pipeline accuracy and trust at scale. You will report into the Manager of Business Intelligence on our Data & Analytics Team under the Strategy & Operations - In-Store organization.
You're excited about this opportunity because you will…
- Build foundational AI infrastructure and data pipelines that directly shape the scalability and productivity of the entire organization
- Work across a modern, expansive tech stack including DBT, Looker, BigQuery, Fivetran, Census, Cloud Functions, Salesforce, NetSuite, and more
- Serve as a strategic link between SevenRooms and DoorDash, integrating systems and data in ways that haven't been tackled yet
- Partner closely with stakeholders across every department — GTM, Finance, Operations, and beyond — to surface data that drives real decisions
- Own governance and control mechanisms that ensure accuracy and reliability across all data pipelines
We're excited about you because…
- You have 3+ years of hands-on experience with DBT and at least 1 year owning and architecting production-grade data pipelines end-to-end, and 4+ years owning and administering a BI tool such as Looker, Tableau, or Mode
- You have 4+ years of demonstrated SQL mastery and 2+ years of Python experience applied to real-world data challenges, including API integrations, data extraction, and workflow orchestration via Airflow or Cloud Composer
- You have experience deploying or launching AI models in a business context and can confidently contribute to building the infrastructure needed to scale those capabilities further
- You have a track record of independently managing multiple high-priority initiatives at once, translating complex technical work into clear insights and recommendations for non-technical stakeholders across departments
- You bring a rigorous approach to data quality and pipeline governance, with the ability to build scalable systems that teams across the business can rely on with confidence
We expect this position to be filled by 7/6/2026.

Verify your BI role qualifies
Pull the O*NET occupation profile for Business Intelligence Analyst or Data Analyst and confirm the role requires a specific bachelor's degree field. Employers will ask, and consular officers look for a clear degree-to-job match during H-1B1 visa review.
Request a certified LCA before resigning
Your employer files a Labor Condition Application with DOL before your consulate appointment. Confirm the LCA is certified and the prevailing wage level matches your offered salary using OFLC Wage Search before you give notice at your current job.
Target BI teams that file internationally
Use Migrate Mate to filter Business Intelligence roles by employers with documented H-1B1 Singapore filing history, so your applications go to companies already familiar with the consular process rather than those encountering it for the first time.
Prepare a specialty occupation evidence packet
Compile your Singapore degree transcripts, a degree equivalency statement if your program was three years, and a job description letter from your employer explicitly tying BI work to your degree field. Weak specialty occupation evidence is the most common H-1B1 refusal trigger.
Understand the two-year cap and renewal cycle
H-1B1 Singapore status is granted in two-year increments with no statutory limit on renewals. Build renewal timelines into your employment agreement so your employer knows to initiate the next LCA at least 60 days before your current status expires.
Negotiate who covers filing costs upfront
H-1B1 processing shifts most government fees to the employer, but legal fees vary by arrangement. Clarify in writing whether your offer covers attorney costs before signing, since BI roles in competitive markets often come with employer-paid sponsorship as a negotiating point.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does a Business Intelligence role qualify as a specialty occupation under H-1B1 Singapore?
Yes, provided the position requires a bachelor's degree or higher in a specific field such as computer science, information systems, statistics, or a directly related discipline. Generic BI roles listed as requiring any bachelor's degree can create problems at the consulate, so the job description needs to name the specific field your degree covers.
How does H-1B1 Singapore compare to H-1B for Business Intelligence professionals?
H-1B visa1 Singapore skips the lottery entirely, uses consular processing instead of a USCIS petition, and the 5,400-visa annual cap goes unfilled most years. H-1B requires surviving a random selection, a full USCIS petition, and can take six months or more. For Singaporean BI professionals with a qualifying job offer, H-1B1 is almost always the faster, more predictable path.
How do I find Business Intelligence employers who already sponsor H-1B1 Singapore visas?
Migrate Mate filters BI roles by employers with verified H-1B1 Singapore filing history, so you're applying to companies that understand the consular process and have done it before. Cold-applying to employers unfamiliar with H-1B1 Singapore often stalls at the offer stage because HR misidentifies it as an H-1B petition.
Can my employer start H-1B1 sponsorship while I'm still outside the United States?
Yes, and for most Singaporean BI professionals that's the standard path. Your employer files the LCA with DOL, you use those documents to apply at the U.S. Embassy in Singapore, and your visa is issued for entry. You don't need to be in H-1B1 status or any other U.S. status to begin the process.
What happens to my H-1B1 status if my Business Intelligence role changes significantly?
A material change in job duties, location, or employer requires a new LCA and, in some cases, a new visa stamp. If your BI role expands into management or shifts to a substantially different function, your employer should file an amended LCA with DOL before the change takes effect to keep your status valid.
