The Apple TV app team is seeking a Lead Product Manager to drive the vision, strategy, and execution of our core Apple TV experience across all devices - from the smallest screen in your pocket to the biggest screen in your living room. Your mission is to make it easy for anyone, anywhere, to find and watch Apple TV in a way that is unmistakably Apple: familiar, intuitive, and thoughtfully crafted for each platform.
You will lead and grow a team of product managers, partnering closely with design, engineering, data science, marketing, and business leaders. Together, you will define and innovate on the Apple TV app experience across the Apple ecosystem and beyond, driving reach, quality, and seamless integration everywhere.
This role requires a strong customer mindset, comfort with technical complexity, and the ability to align diverse stakeholders around a clear, compelling product vision. You know how to balance quality, consistency, and platform nuance - and how to scale both products and teams.
ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead the product vision and roadmap for the Apple TV app experience across mobile and living-room platforms.
- Own core capabilities that underpin customer trust and engagement, including playback quality, profiles, cross-platform interoperability, and accessibility.
- Create simple, effortless, and reliable viewing experiences across device ecosystems while respecting platform-specific interaction models.
- Define strategy across connected TV platforms (Apple TV, Roku, Fire TV, Android TV, consoles) and mobile platforms (iOS, Android), balancing innovation with performance and scale.
- Champion solutions that expand the reach of the Apple TV app, supporting both existing devices and emerging form factors and formats.
- Lead, coach, and develop a team of Product Managers setting clear goals, expectations, and growth plans.
- Build strong alignment with cross-functional partners across engineering, design, data science, content, operations, marketing, and business teams.
- Translate customer insights, behavioral data, and qualitative research into clear priorities and measurable outcomes.
- Establish shared success metrics tied to customer satisfaction, engagement, retention, and quality of service.
- Write and review clear product narratives and requirements that articulate vision, tradeoffs, and execution plans.
- Partner closely with design and engineering teams to deliver features end-to-end, validating outcomes through experimentation, analytics, and customer feedback.
- Work with marketing and business teams to deepen Apple ecosystem and partner platform integrations.
- Champion a culture of learning, iteration, and customer obsession; socialize outcomes and insights with leadership.
- Take strong, evidence-based positions while remaining open to feedback and thoughtful compromise.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- 10+ years of product management experience, including a proven track record of shipping large-scale, customer-facing consumer products and features.
- Exceptional leadership and people management skills, with experience building, mentoring, and scaling high-performing teams.
- Proven track record of delivering media and entertainment products and features across multiple device platforms, including mobile and living-room environments.
- Demonstrated success in shipping ML-powered consumer products.
- Deep understanding of core functionality and customer experience for streaming TV, Movies, and Live Sports.
- Experience leading the full product lifecycle - from vision and strategy through launch, iteration, and optimization.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, particularly in translating complexity for diverse audiences.
- Demonstrated ability to independently create and deliver compelling presentations and align senior stakeholders around a shared vision.
- Highly effective analytical and product judgment skills, using both data and intuition to guide decisions.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience building or leading video streaming, media, or entertainment products.
- Familiarity with device platforms and constraints across iOS, Android, Roku, Fire TV, tvOS, and Google TV.
- Experience with experimentation frameworks, A/B testing, and data-informed decision-making.
- Ability to thrive in a debate-focused environment and drive decisions amid ambiguity.
- Appreciation for design and an understanding of how UX and performance shape customer trust.
- Knowledge of the competitive streaming landscape and curiosity about evolving viewing behaviors.
- Experience working on products with a global footprint and diverse customer needs.

Align your credentials to specialty occupation
Product Management Lead roles must qualify as specialty occupations requiring a bachelor's degree in a directly related field. Pull the O*NET profile for your SOC code and confirm your degree in business, engineering, or computer science maps to the listed requirements before applying.
Target companies with active LCA filing history
Use Migrate Mate to filter employers by verified H-1B1 visa Labor Condition Application filings for product management roles. Companies that have filed LCAs before already have internal processes for H-1B1 sponsorship, which cuts your negotiation time significantly.
Verify prevailing wage before salary negotiations
Your employer's LCA must certify a wage at or above the DOL prevailing wage for your job title and work location. Check the OFLC Wage Search for the correct wage level before you receive an offer so you can spot underpayment early.
Get your Singapore credentials evaluated early
Consular officers review your educational background directly at the interview. Have a credential evaluation completed for your Singapore polytechnic or university degree before the offer stage so your employer's LCA accurately reflects your qualifications and the petition doesn't stall.
Ask employers about concurrent H-1B1 renewal timing
The H-1B1 is issued in two-year increments with no automatic grace period extensions during renewal gaps. Confirm your employer's standard timeline for re-filing the LCA and DS-160 at least 60 days before your current status expires to avoid a work authorization gap.
Clarify product leadership scope in your job offer letter
Consular officers scrutinize Product Management Lead titles when the role blends general management with product functions. Your offer letter should specify that the position requires a specialized degree, not just managerial experience, to satisfy the specialty occupation definition under USCIS standards.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does a Product Management Lead role qualify as a specialty occupation for the H-1B1 Singapore visa?
Yes, if the position requires a bachelor's degree or higher in a specific field like business administration, engineering, or computer science. Generalist titles that accept any degree can fail the specialty occupation test. Your employer's LCA and offer letter must clearly state the degree requirement tied to the role's core responsibilities, not just the seniority level.
How does the H-1B1 Singapore visa compare to the H-1B for Product Management Lead roles?
The H-1B visa1 skips the lottery entirely, which means Singaporean nationals can start the consulate process as soon as they have a job offer and a certified LCA. The H-1B requires USCIS petition approval and lottery selection, adding months of uncertainty. The trade-off is that the H-1B1 does not confer dual intent, so green card planning must be handled separately.
How do I find U.S. employers who will sponsor H-1B1 Singapore visas for product management roles?
Migrate Mate filters job listings by verified employer LCA filing history for H-1B1 Singapore roles, so you can focus on companies that have already demonstrated willingness and capacity to sponsor. This saves time compared to approaching employers who haven't filed before and may not have an internal process for H-1B1 petitions.
What happens to my H-1B1 status if my Product Management Lead role changes significantly after I arrive?
A material change in job duties, location, or wage level requires your employer to file an amended LCA before the change takes effect. If the new responsibilities no longer align with the specialty occupation criteria described in the original petition, USCIS and the consulate could question the visa's validity on renewal. Document any role evolution carefully.
Can I work for multiple employers or start consulting while on an H-1B1 Singapore visa?
The H-1B1 is employer-specific, so you're authorized to work only for the petitioning employer in the approved role. Taking on concurrent employment or independent consulting without a separate approved H-1B1 petition for each employer violates your status. If you want to expand your work arrangement, your additional employer must file and certify their own LCA first.
