Get Access To All JobsTips for Finding Logistics Jobs
Match your documents to agricultural logistics
Before you apply, gather documentation that ties your experience to agricultural supply chains specifically: forklift certifications, cold-storage handling records, or equipment operation logs. General warehouse credentials alone won't distinguish you for H-2A visa logistics roles.
Use O*NET to identify qualifying duties
H-2A logistics roles must be seasonal and tied to agricultural operations. Pull the O*NET occupation profile for your target role to confirm the listed tasks align with what the employer describes, so your application matches DOL's definition of qualifying agricultural work.
Find H-2A logistics employers on Migrate Mate
Search Migrate Mate to find agricultural employers who have filed H-2A petitions for logistics roles. Filtering by verified sponsorship history saves you from targeting operations that recruit domestically or don't run seasonal logistics programs.
Target employers during peak harvest planning
H-2A petitions must be filed at least 45 days before the work start date. Reach out to large produce, grain, or perishable-goods operations three to four months before their harvest window so your application can move through USCIS and DOL certification in time.
Confirm housing covers your full assignment period
Your H-2A employer is required to provide free housing for the entire approved work period, including any travel days. Before accepting an offer, verify in writing that housing doesn't terminate if logistics operations end early due to harvest delays or volume changes.
Check the OFLC Wage Search before negotiating
Your employer must pay the AEWR or the prevailing wage for the region, whichever is higher. Run the OFLC Wage Search for the specific county and logistics job code before your offer stage so you know the minimum legal wage floor for your position.
Frequently Asked Questions
How do I find logistics jobs with H-2A visa sponsorship?
Migrate Mate lets you search for agricultural employers who have filed H-2A petitions specifically for logistics roles. Because H-2A sponsorship requires employers to go through DOL certification and USCIS filing, filtering for verified sponsorship history is the fastest way to find operations actively recruiting international seasonal workers for supply chain and materials handling positions.
What housing and transportation obligations does an H-2A employer have for logistics workers?
H-2A employers must provide free housing that meets federal or state health and safety standards for the entire approved work period. They must also cover inbound transportation costs from your home country once you complete 50 percent of the contract, and they must arrange or reimburse daily transportation between your housing and the worksite.
Do logistics roles on farms actually qualify for the H-2A visa?
They can, but the position must be directly tied to the agricultural operation and seasonal in nature. Roles like inventory management during harvest, cold-storage coordination for perishable crops, or equipment logistics supporting planting and harvest cycles typically qualify. Permanent year-round supply chain positions for a general agricultural business usually do not meet the seasonal or temporary requirement.
Can my H-2A status transfer if the logistics assignment ends early?
H-2A status is tied to the specific employer and the approved work period on your petition. If operations end early, you have a short grace period before your status expires but you cannot legally transfer to another employer without a new H-2A petition filed on your behalf. USCIS requires the new employer to complete a separate DOL certification and petition before you can begin work for them.
