We’re looking for a JEDEC Member of Technical Staff (MTS) Hardware Engineer to represent Micron in shaping industry standards for DRAM memory modules. In this role, you’ll work at the intersection of hardware design and industry collaboration, helping define specifications that impact future platforms. This is a highly visible opportunity to influence standards such as DDR5, DDR6, RDIMM, MRDIMM, and CAMM while translating those standards into practical design guidance for internal teams.
Responsibilities:
- Represent Micron in JEDEC committees, task groups, and technical forums for DRAM module standards
- Define and review standards for module architecture, electrical/mechanical requirements, signal integrity, timing, and compliance
- Partner with internal engineering teams to develop proposals and translate standards into design guidance
- Create and review technical specifications, test methodologies, and interoperability requirements
- Build relationships with internal and external partners to influence future standards and roadmaps
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field
- Experience in hardware development, system architecture, or validation for DRAM modules or high-speed memory subsystems
- Working knowledge of JEDEC standards and memory interface technologies
- Experience with schematic review, PCB design, validation, compliance testing, or system debug
- Strong technical communication and cross-team collaboration skills
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Direct participation in JEDEC or other industry standards organizations
- Experience with DDR5, DDR6, RDIMM, LRDIMM, MRDIMM, CAMM, or similar technologies
- Familiarity with signal integrity, timing analysis, interoperability, and compliance methodologies
- Experience leading cross-functional or cross-company technical initiatives
- Experience translating standards into actionable design guidance for product teams
