Entry Level Head Of People Jobs: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get an entry level head of people job?
Focus on demonstrating people-operations fundamentals: experience coordinating hiring processes, supporting employee onboarding, or managing HR projects through internships, student organizations, or volunteer roles. Employers hiring at this level typically look for strong interpersonal skills, familiarity with HR tools, and evidence you can handle confidential information responsibly. A relevant degree in human resources, business, or organizational psychology gives your application a clear foundation.
Which companies hire entry level head of peoples?
Companies hiring entry level head of peoples right now include Capital One, Information Technology Senior Management Forum, and Notion, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. Hiring at this level tends to come from growth-stage startups building their people function for the first time, as well as mid-size organizations looking for junior HR generalists who can grow into broader responsibilities.
Are there remote entry level head of people jobs?
Yes, though availability varies by employer size and industry. About 22% of entry level head of people openings are remote or hybrid as of July 2026, making this a realistic option for candidates outside major hiring markets. Fully remote roles at the entry level are more common at tech-forward companies and startups that already operate distributed teams.
Are these new grad head of people jobs?
Yes, many of the openings on this page are new grad and junior roles that explicitly welcome recent graduates with zero to two years of experience. A posting is typically new-grad friendly when it accepts internship experience in place of full-time work history, mentions a willingness to train, or lists a bachelor's degree as the primary qualification rather than requiring multiple years in an HR role.
Which industries hire the most entry level head of peoples?
Entry Level head of people roles concentrate in Technology & Software, Banking & Financial Services, and Retail, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. Those sectors tend to drive hiring at this level because rapid headcount growth creates demand for people-ops support before organizations have the budget or structure to hire only experienced HR leadership.
