Senior Level Head Of Sales Jobs: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get a senior level head of sales job?
Employers hiring at this level look for candidates who have owned a revenue number, built or restructured a sales org, and can point to measurable outcomes like pipeline growth or market expansion. A demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional initiatives, coach managers, and influence executive strategy gives candidates a clear edge over those with individual contributor backgrounds alone.
Which companies hire senior level head of saless?
Companies hiring senior level head of saless right now include Citi, State Street, and Amazon, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. Hiring at this level comes from a mix of high-growth technology firms, established enterprise organizations, and private equity-backed companies scaling their go-to-market functions.
Are there remote senior level head of sales jobs?
Yes, though availability varies by industry and company stage. About 33% of senior level head of sales openings are remote or hybrid as of July 2026, reflecting strong demand from technology and SaaS employers who hire sales leadership without geographic restrictions. On-site roles remain common in industries where executive presence and territory ownership are tied to a physical location.
What makes a head of sales role senior level?
Senior level head of sales roles are defined by full ownership of a revenue function rather than execution within one. That means setting quota frameworks, designing team structure, hiring and developing frontline managers, and reporting directly to a CEO or CRO. The scope extends to cross-functional alignment with marketing, product, and finance, and decisions carry org-wide consequences rather than affecting a single region or segment.
Which industries hire the most senior level head of saless?
Senior Level head of sales roles concentrate in Technology & Software, Banking & Financial Services, and Investment & Asset Management, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. These sectors drive hiring at this level because they rely on complex, multi-stakeholder sales cycles that require experienced leadership to build repeatable processes and sustain revenue growth at scale.
