Mid Level Healthcare Operations Manager Jobs: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get a mid level healthcare operations manager job?
Position your experience around ownership, not just participation. Highlight projects where you drove a process improvement, managed a cross-functional initiative, or reduced operational inefficiency with measurable results. Tailor your resume to show depth in healthcare-specific workflows such as scheduling, compliance, or patient throughput. Employers at this level want candidates who can operate with limited supervision, so lead with outcomes rather than responsibilities.
Which companies hire mid level healthcare operations managers?
Companies hiring mid level healthcare operations managers right now include Jobot, RevSpring, and Cushing Terrell, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. Hiring at this level covers health systems, outpatient networks, managed care organizations, and specialty practice groups that need experienced operators to run day-to-day clinical and administrative functions.
Are there remote mid level healthcare operations manager jobs?
Yes, though most roles lean on-site or hybrid given the hands-on coordination healthcare operations requires. About 23% of mid level healthcare operations manager openings are remote or hybrid as of July 2026, concentrated in roles focused on data reporting, vendor management, and revenue cycle oversight where physical presence is less essential.
How do I move up to a mid level healthcare operations manager role?
The path from entry level to mid level is built on progressively larger ownership. Start by taking full responsibility for discrete projects rather than supporting others on them. Develop fluency in healthcare compliance standards, staffing models, and operational metrics. Seek out roles that put you in front of cross-departmental problems, and document the measurable impact of each initiative to demonstrate the kind of accountability mid level employers expect.
Which industries hire the most mid level healthcare operations managers?
Mid Level healthcare operations manager roles concentrate in Technology & Software, Healthcare & Medical Services, and Consulting & Professional Services, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. These sectors drive hiring at this level because they operate high-volume, regulation-intensive environments where experienced operations professionals are needed to maintain efficiency, manage compliance, and support clinical leadership.
