ClearView Packaging is seeking a motivated, customer-focused Inside Sales Representative to support our Albany, New York facility. This position plays a critical role in managing customer accounts, supporting sales activities, ensuring exceptional customer service, and serving as a liaison between customers and internal departments.
Position Summary
The Inside Sales Representative is responsible for supporting existing customer accounts, by assisting in preparing quotations, processing orders, coordinating customer requests, and ensuring a positive customer experience. This role works closely with Production, Scheduling, Customer Service, and Quality to provide timely and effective support to our customers.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Manage assigned customer accounts and maintain strong customer relationships.
- Prepare and present product quotations and pricing proposals.
- Process customer orders and coordinate requirements with internal departments.
- Serve as a point of contact for customer inquiries, product information, and order status updates.
- Collaborate with Operations and Production teams to ensure customer expectations are met.
- Maintain accurate customer records and sales activity within company systems.
- Monitor customer purchasing patterns and communicate customer needs internally.
- Assist with customer issue resolution and ensure a positive customer experience.
- Support strategic sales initiatives and customer retention efforts.
- Participate in sales meetings, training programs, and continuous improvement activities.
- Prepare reports and assist management with customer account analysis as needed.
QualificationsRequired:
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Minimum of 2 years of sales support, customer service, account management, or related experience.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
- Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel and Outlook.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong problem-solving and customer-focused mindset.
Preferred:
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or related field preferred
- Experience in manufacturing, packaging, plastics, converting, or industrial environments.
- Experience using CRM or ERP systems.
- Knowledge of flexible packaging products and manufacturing processes.
