Christel House Indianapolis is currently seeking a full-time Instructional Assistant at DORS Central.
Days of Service: 202 Days
Requirements:
- Associate's degree with some training/exposure to education and teaching
- Ability and willingness to work collaboratively; maintaining cooperative and effective working relationships
- Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing
- Competency in using technology
- Ability to report to work on a regular and punctual basis
- Bilingual preferred
- An agreement with the mission statement and goals of Christel House Schools
Job Tasks:
- Assist students with assignments that reinforce learning concepts
- Monitor individual and/or groups of students for the purpose of providing a safe and positive learning environment
- Maintain a record of interventions and progress monitoring
- Provide ‘re-teaching’ and tutoring sessions around core instruction that was delivered by the classroom teacher
- Implement, under the supervision of the teacher, instructional programs and lesson plans for the purpose of presenting and/or reinforcing learning concepts
- Attend meetings and in-service presentations for the purpose of acquiring and/or conveying information relative to job functions
- Other duties assigned
