Instructor Jobs in Colorado Springs: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get an instructor job in Colorado Springs?
Focus your search on the sectors that drive the most local hiring: military and defense education tied to Fort Carson and Peterson Space Force Base, higher education at institutions like UCCS and Pikes Peak State College, and corporate training at the large employers concentrated in Briargate and the north corridor. Candidates who can demonstrate subject-matter credentials, experience designing curriculum, or a background aligned to a specific sector consistently stand out in this market.
Which companies hire instructors in Colorado Springs?
Colorado Springs instructor roles are posted by Leidos, Apogee Engineering, and Galapagos Federal Systems and others right now, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of August 2026. The local market includes a notable mix of defense contractors, public colleges, K-12 school districts, and fitness and wellness operators, reflecting the city's broad educational infrastructure.
Are there remote instructor jobs in Colorado Springs?
Yes, though remote availability depends heavily on the type of instruction, with hands-on, lab, or in-person training roles rarely offered remotely while curriculum development, e-learning, and certain corporate training roles are often fully remote. About 50% of instructor openings tied to Colorado Springs are remote or hybrid as of August 2026, reflecting the mix of field-based and desk-based roles in this market. Corporate and professional development instructor roles in Briargate-area employers tend to be the most remote-friendly locally.
How can I get an instructor job in Colorado Springs with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path in Colorado Springs is through assistant instructor, tutoring, or paraprofessional roles at Pikes Peak State College, UCCS, or the local K-12 school districts, where entry-level positions frequently open and provide a direct path to full instructor roles. Military family and community support programs at Fort Carson also hire facilitators with limited formal teaching backgrounds. Building a portfolio of volunteer instruction or community education through Colorado Springs Parks, Recreation and Cultural Services can also help candidates break in locally.
