INTRODUCTION
St. John the Baptist Catholic School is seeking a dedicated, mission-driven Full-Time Elementary Teacher for the 2026–2027 school year. The teacher is responsible for delivering high-quality, standards-aligned instruction while fostering the spiritual, academic, and personal growth of each student.
The ideal candidate is a joyful, structured educator who supports the mission of Catholic education and forms students as both scholars and disciples.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
- Plan and deliver engaging, standards-aligned instruction across core subject areas
- Foster a structured, positive, and faith-filled classroom environment
- Differentiate instruction to meet diverse student learning needs
- Assess student progress and communicate regularly with families
- Collaborate with colleagues, administration, and support staff
- Integrate Catholic values and teachings into daily instruction and classroom culture
- Maintain professional responsibilities, including lesson planning, grading, and supervision
- Must be a practicing Catholic in good standing with the Church
QUALIFICATIONS (EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE)
- Bachelor’s degree in Education or related field required
- Colorado teaching license (or ability to obtain) preferred
- Experience teaching elementary students preferred
- Strong classroom management and instructional skills
- Commitment to the mission and values of Catholic education
- Must complete Archdiocesan background screening and Safe Environment training
COMPENSATION
Compensation is based on the Archdiocese of Denver Teacher Salary Scale and is determined by verified years of teaching experience and educational attainment (Bachelor’s degree, advanced coursework, or Master’s degree). This is a full-time (1.0 FTE) position.
For the 2026–2027 school year, the anticipated salary range for this position is: $42,000 – $64,000 annually, depending on placement on the Archdiocesan salary schedule. This position does not include commissions or performance bonuses. Additional stipends may be available for approved extracurricular responsibilities, leadership roles, or school programs.
