We are currently seeking a Medical Intake Insurance Coordinator. This is a full-time position Monday thru Friday 8:30am - 5pm. The ideal candidate that we hire must have at least 3+ years of experience verifying medical insurance and have a very good knowledge of medical insurance plans in Kentucky.
This is a fast-paced role that calls for the ability to multi-task, think on your feet and work independently. The ideal candidate will be patient focused, positive attitude, eager and driven to succeed. This role is critical to the entire patient experience. The ideal candidate will have intermediate to advanced level skills in all responsibilities.
Responsibilities
- Completes an intake call sheet on all new referrals
- Makes multiple calls patients to schedule consultations
- Gathers all necessary demographic, clinical and financial information for accurate and complete creation of profile
- Completes verification of insurance eligibility and benefits including primary and secondary payors.
- Notifies referring physician of scheduled appointment.
- Assists in training new staff as requested.
- Assists with general medical office duties
- Strong computer skills are a must
- Willing to roll up sleeves to get work done
- Superior communication, problem-solving and follow-up skills
- Well-organized with multi-tasking skills
- Self motivated with a positive and professional approach
- Organized and detail oriented
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
- Day shift
- Monday to Friday
- 8:30am - 5:00pm
Requirements
- 3-5 years experience performing similar duties
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications
- Must be excited to work in a fast paced upbeat work environment
