Insurance Jobs in Louisville: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get a insurance job in Louisville?
The strongest entry point in Louisville is the healthcare insurance sector, which anchors a large share of local openings given the city's concentration of major health systems and regional carriers. Commercial lines and employee benefits roles are also in steady demand through Louisville's corporate and financial services employers. Candidates who hold an active Kentucky P&C or life and health license and can point to client-facing or claims experience move faster through local hiring pipelines.
Which companies hire insurances in Louisville?
Companies currently hiring insurances in Louisville include State Farm, Kemper, and 360Care, per current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. Louisville's insurance employer mix leans heavily toward regional carriers, third-party administrators, and the benefits arms of large healthcare and financial services organizations headquartered or regionally based in the city.
Are there remote insurance jobs in Louisville?
Yes, though remote availability varies sharply by role type. Claims adjusters, underwriters, and customer service representatives tend to work remotely more often than field agents or loss control specialists who require on-site visits. About 80% of insurance openings tied to Louisville are remote or hybrid as of July 2026, with the strongest remote concentration in desk-based underwriting and claims processing roles.
How can I get a insurance job in Louisville with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path in Louisville is a customer service or claims support role with one of the city's regional carriers or third-party administrators, where on-the-job training is common and a Kentucky producer license can often be obtained after hire. Louisville's healthcare insurance sector is particularly active in hiring entry-level benefits coordinators and enrollment specialists. Candidates who complete a pre-licensing course before applying and emphasize any customer-facing or data-entry experience gain a clear edge locally.
Which industries hire the most insurances in Louisville?
Louisville insurance roles concentrate in Consulting & Professional Services, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. Louisville's position as a regional healthcare hub and a growing financial services center means those two sectors consistently drive the largest share of local insurance hiring throughout the year.
