Entry Level Internship Jobs: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get an entry level internship job?
Focus on what you can show rather than what you have done professionally. A portfolio project, a relevant class, or a campus club role can all demonstrate the skills these employers need. Apply to postings that explicitly welcome 0 to 2 years of experience or list 'no experience required,' tailor your resume to each role's listed skills, and follow up after submitting.
Which companies hire entry level internships?
Companies hiring entry level internships right now include Northwestern Mutual, Tarte Cosmetics, and Palantir Technologies, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of August 2026. The mix includes large corporations running structured intern programs alongside smaller firms and startups that bring on juniors to support growing teams.
Are there remote entry level internship jobs?
Yes, though on-site and hybrid roles remain common at this level. About 7% of entry level internship openings are remote or hybrid as of August 2026, so candidates outside major hiring hubs can still find real options. Filtering by work setting on the listings page lets you see only the format that fits your situation.
Are these new grad internship jobs?
Yes. The listings here include new grad, recent graduate, and junior roles alongside other entry level postings. A new grad-friendly posting typically welcomes 0 to 2 years of experience, accepts internship or project work in place of full-time history, and does not require prior professional titles. If a posting mentions coursework or a portfolio as qualifying experience, it is a strong new grad fit.
Which industries hire the most entry level internships?
Entry Level internship roles concentrate in Insurance, Distribution & Wholesale, and Consulting & Professional Services, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of August 2026. These sectors tend to run the most structured intern programs and consistently bring on juniors and recent graduates to fill project-based or rotational roles throughout the year.
