INTRODUCTION
Deaconess Clinic – Heart & Vascular is seeking a BE/BC interventional cardiologist (structural) to join a 2+ physician group and 4+ advanced practice provider group employed by Deaconess Specialty Physicians in southern Illinois. As an interventional cardiologist, joining our team means you’ll be part of a thriving, independent, not-for-profit healthcare system that has earned its reputation for being one of the best places to practice medicine. - Inpatient and outpatient practice supported by APPs
- 2 interventional cardiologists 4+ advanced practice providers

- Referral network to EP and CV surgery services within the Deaconess system
- Primary location is based out of Marion, Ill with some coverage in Mt. Vernon, Illinois and outreach locations
- J1 visa applicants welcomed as this is an underserved community

- One (1) dedicated cath lab department at Marion Medical Center
- Two (2) dedicated non-invasive departments at Marion Medical Center and Mt Vernon Hospital
- Dedicated clinic office staff with a mix of RN and CMA staffing
- Fully Integrated EMR: With Epic implemented for both inpatient and outpatient settings, your workflow is streamlined and efficient.
OUTSTANDING COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS
We understand the importance of balancing a rewarding career with a fulfilling personal life, which is why we offer one of the most competitive compensation packages in the region:
- Guaranteed Salary: $775,000 for the first 12 months, with earning potential beyond that.
- Productivity-Based Compensation
- Sign-On Bonus: $40,000
- Quality Bonus: Up to $25,000
- Comprehensive Benefits: Including medical, dental, 401k, and 457B, malpractice insurance, moving allowance, and more.
- 401k has traditional and Roth options with ability for in-plan conversions
- PSLF (Public Student Loan Forgiveness) eligible employer.
WORK-LIFE BALANCE

- Vacation & Time Off: Enjoy five (5) weeks of vacation and one (1) week for CME
- Procedural Focus: Echocardiography, nuclear cardiology, stress testing, coronary CTA, R/L heart catheterizations, PCI, IABP, Impella placement.
- Call Coverage: Reasonable call responsibilities shared amongst non-invasive and interventional cardiologists.
