Interventional Specialist Jobs in Texas: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a interventional specialist in Texas?
Most interventional specialist roles in Texas require a bachelor's degree in nursing, life sciences, or a clinical field, combined with direct procedural experience in a cath lab or interventional suite. Clinical specialists coming from nursing typically hold an active Texas Board of Nursing RN license. Device-focused specialists do not require a separate state license but are expected to complete manufacturer credentialing programs and hospital vendor badge requirements before entering Texas facility accounts.
How much do interventional specialists make in Texas?
Interventional specialists in Texas earn a median of about $319,320 a year, based on May 2025 Bureau of Labor Statistics wage data, ranging from around $77,270 for the lowest 10% to over $503,900 for the top 10%. Pay rises with experience, specialty, and employer.
Which companies hire interventional specialists in Texas?
Employers hiring interventional specialists in Texas right now include Baylor Scott & White Health, CHRISTUS Health, and CommonSpirit Health, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of June 2026. Texas's high concentration of Level I trauma centers, academic medical systems, and regional cardiovascular programs makes it one of the more consistently active states for this role.
Which Texas cities have the most interventional specialist jobs?
Houston, Round Rock, and Bryan account for the most interventional specialist openings in Texas. Houston leads because of its large medical complex and concentration of cardiovascular research hospitals, while Dallas supports a dense network of device company regional offices and major IDN accounts, and San Antonio's military medical infrastructure and growing health system footprint drive steady clinical specialist demand.
Are there remote interventional specialist jobs in Texas?
Yes, but they're rare. The core of interventional specialist work is procedure-side support inside cath labs and operating rooms, which cannot be done remotely. About 5% of interventional specialist openings tied to Texas are remote or hybrid as of June 2026, and those positions tend to be in clinical education, product training, or regional account management roles that do not require daily facility presence.
How can I get hired as a interventional specialist in Texas with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is through a clinical associate or clinical sales associate program at a major device company. Medtronic and Boston Scientific both run structured associate programs that place candidates without direct interventional experience into supported territory roles alongside senior specialists. Candidates with Texas-based cath lab tech backgrounds, cardiovascular sonography credentials, or scrub tech experience have a clear lateral path in, and completing a manufacturer product certification before applying significantly strengthens an application.
Where can I find and apply to interventional specialist jobs in Texas?
You can find and apply to interventional specialist jobs in Texas on Migrate Mate, which lists current Texas openings from employers actively hiring in the state. Find roles that fit your experience and specialty area and apply directly to the ones that match.
