ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The Cincinnati Insurance Companies' Special Investigations Unit is currently seeking a Special Investigator to handle a territory in the greater St. Louis and SW Illinois territory where CIC conducts business.
COMPENSATION
- Salary Range: The pay range for this position is $60,000 - $80,000 annually. Pay is based on the applicant’s education, experience, location, knowledge, skills and abilities. Eligible associates may also receive an annual cash bonus and stock incentives based on company and individual performance.
Be Ready To:
- Thoroughly investigate questionable insurance claims and, if the evidence warrants, a referral to law enforcement.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- 5+ years of investigative experience working with law enforcement, public investigative agencies, and state government entities preferred
- Experience providing courtroom testimony at the local, state, or federal level
- Knowledge of civil and criminal law
- Ability to work independently and take initiative
- Discipline to work effectively in a non-office, field-based environment
- Ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously, prioritize workload, and remain organized
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong report-writing skills, with the ability to produce thorough and detailed documentation
- Proven experience and skill in conducting interviews
- Public speaking skills, including the ability to deliver training presentations
OTHER
Relocation and overnight travel may be necessary.
