OleOle is building a global social, messaging and commerce platform designed specifically for the more than three billion football fans around the world.

The platform brings together social media, short-form video, encrypted messaging and calling, live scores, real-time translation and football content within a single global ecosystem. Our goal is to connect fans across clubs, countries and languages while creating an infrastructure that extends well beyond social media.

Every OleOle user receives a persistent Wallet ID that connects their identity across the ecosystem. Over time, OleOle will integrate payments, commerce, Mini Programs, ticketing and travel, gaming, digital assets and financial services. Mini Programs will allow clubs, brands, merchants and third-party developers to build services directly within OleOle, using the platform’s identity, social and payment infrastructure.

OleOleSport, our ticketing and travel business, provides an important early commercial opportunity through tickets, VIP hospitality and travel experiences around major sporting events. As the OleOle audience grows, additional businesses are designed to scale alongside it, including Mini Programs, payments, gaming and NewZeros, our planned financial infrastructure combining exchange capabilities with a broader payments and transaction network.

We are currently a team of approximately 20 people building across backend infrastructure, social, video, messaging, AI and translation, payments, football data, product and design.

OleOle is being built around a long-term thesis: football is the world’s largest shared passion, yet its global audience remains fragmented across social networks, messaging applications, sports platforms and commerce providers. We believe there is an opportunity to bring those experiences together in one global platform and build significant businesses around the resulting network.

OleOle — Where Fans Kick Off.

We are looking for a senior, hands-on iOS engineer to take ownership of the architecture and development of OleOle’s native iOS application.

You will work directly with our backend, product and design teams to build the mobile implementation of OleOle’s social, messaging, video, live-score and payments functionality.

You will:

• Architect and build the native iOS application using Swift and SwiftUI.
• Integrate backend APIs and realtime services as they are developed.
• Build high-performance social feeds and microblogging functionality.
• Implement short-form vertical video, including capture, upload, playback and media handling.
• Implement encrypted one-to-one messaging and realtime chat.
• Integrate voice and video calling.
• Build contacts, invitations and user-discovery functionality.
• Implement live scores, realtime match events and push notifications.
• Integrate authentication, account management and secure session handling.
• Integrate wallet, payments and rewards functionality.
• Implement localization and translation functionality.
• Optimize startup, scrolling, media playback, networking, caching and battery usage.
• Build reliable behavior for poor or intermittent network conditions.
• Own testing, debugging and production reliability of the iOS application.
• Take features from architecture through App Store production release.

This is a hands-on engineering role. We need someone capable of making architectural decisions and then writing the production code to implement them.

Job Description

We are looking for a senior, hands-on Android engineer to take ownership of the architecture and development of OleOle’s native Android application.

Senior iOS Engineer — Qualifications

• 7+ years of professional software engineering experience, including substantial native iOS development.
• Expert-level Swift and strong production experience with SwiftUI.
• Proven experience architecting, building and shipping complex consumer iOS applications.
• Experience building at least one substantial product involving social feeds, messaging, short-form video, live content or realtime communications.
• Strong experience with WebSockets and realtime/event-driven mobile applications.
• Production experience with WebRTC or comparable voice/video calling technology.
• Strong experience with AVFoundation, including video capture, playback, compression, upload and media handling.
• Strong understanding of Swift concurrency, networking, caching, memory management and mobile performance optimization.
• Production experience with APNs, push notifications and background processing.
• Experience implementing authentication, Keychain/secure storage, session management and privacy-sensitive functionality.
• Experience integrating complex backend APIs and working directly with backend engineers as APIs evolve.
• Strong understanding of iOS application lifecycle, background execution and handling poor or intermittent network conditions.
• Experience taking applications through App Store review, release and production operation.
• Demonstrated ability to independently own a major application or feature from architecture through production.
• Strong debugging, profiling, testing and production troubleshooting skills.
• Must be a hands-on engineer who writes production code, not primarily an engineering manager.

Senior Android Engineer — Qualifications

• 7+ years of professional software engineering experience, including substantial native Android development.
• Expert-level Kotlin and strong production experience with Jetpack Compose.
• Proven experience architecting, building and shipping complex consumer Android applications.
• Experience building at least one substantial product involving social feeds, messaging, short-form video, live content or realtime communications.
• Strong experience with Kotlin Coroutines and Flow.
• Strong experience with WebSockets and realtime/event-driven mobile applications.
• Production experience with WebRTC or comparable voice/video calling technology.
• Strong experience with CameraX, Media3/ExoPlayer, including video capture, playback, compression, upload and media handling.
• Strong understanding of Android networking, caching, memory management and mobile performance optimization.
• Production experience with Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM), push notifications and background processing.
• Experience implementing authentication, Android Keystore/secure storage, session management and privacy-sensitive functionality.
• Experience integrating complex backend APIs and working directly with backend engineers as APIs evolve.
• Strong understanding of the Android application lifecycle, background execution, device/OS fragmentation and poor or intermittent network conditions.
• Experience taking applications through Google Play review, release and production operation.
• Demonstrated ability to independently own a major application or feature from architecture through production.
• Strong debugging, profiling, testing and production troubleshooting skills.

Compensation

This position currently operates under a written deferred compensation agreement while OleOle completes its funding round. This is not unpaid or volunteer work. Compensation is earned during the deferred period and becomes payable when the company closes funding. Following funding, the position transitions to a standard compensation package consisting of a competitive salary plus equity and OleOle token participation.
