Most employers hire candidates with a two- or four-year degree in information technology or a related field, combined with vendor-neutral certifications such as CompTIA A+ or Network+. Completing an IT certificate program at a community college like Oakton College or the College of DuPage gives candidates a concrete credential that Illinois employers recognize, and internships at Chicago-area companies provide the hands-on experience that moves resumes to the top.
Which companies hire it support analysts in Illinois?
Companies currently hiring it support analysts in Illinois include Novolex, ConGlobal, and Crane NXT, per current listings on Migrate Mate as of September 2026. Which Illinois cities have the most it support analyst jobs?
Mount Prospect, Chicago, and Westmont have the most it support analyst openings in Illinois. Chicago drives the largest share of postings because of its concentration of corporate headquarters, large healthcare networks, and financial services firms, while Naperville and surrounding DuPage County suburbs attract significant volume from technology companies and logistics operations headquartered along the I-88 corridor.
