ABOUT THE ROLE
The company is hiring a Tier 1 IT Support Specialist to be the first point of contact for its help desk, reporting to the IT Support Manager. You will answer incoming calls, log and route tickets, and resolve common technical issues on the first call whenever possible.
This is an ideal entry point for a recent graduate or someone with about a year of support experience who wants to build a career in IT. The role is fully onsite in downtown Miami, 5 days per week.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Answer incoming help desk calls, emails, and chats in a friendly and professional manner.
- Log every request in the ticketing system with clear, accurate notes.
- Route calls and tickets to the right Tier 2 team or specialist when issues need escalation.
- Perform basic troubleshooting for desktops, laptops, printers, phones, and common software.
- Reset passwords, unlock accounts, and help users with MFA and login issues.
- Walk users through simple fixes step by step, including connectivity and VPN issues.
- Follow up with users to confirm issues are resolved and close tickets promptly.
- Help set up new hire equipment and accounts as needed.
- Contribute to the knowledge base by documenting common issues and fixes.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- 0–1 year of IT support, help desk, or customer service experience; recent graduates are encouraged to apply.
- Basic knowledge of Windows, Microsoft Office/365, and common hardware.
- Strong phone etiquette, patience, and a customer-first attitude.
- Clear verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to stay organized and handle multiple requests at once.
- Must be able to work onsite in downtown Miami, FL, 5 days per week.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- CompTIA A+ or similar entry-level certification.
- Exposure to a ticketing system such as ServiceNow, Zendesk, or Jira Service Management.
- Familiarity with Active Directory or Microsoft Entra ID for account and password management.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish.
- Hands-on training and a clear path to grow into Tier 2 and systems roles.
Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40.0 per week
