Laboratory Jobs in Phoenix: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get a laboratory job in Phoenix?
Focus your search on Phoenix's healthcare networks, clinical reference labs, and the semiconductor and advanced manufacturing facilities concentrated along the I-10 and Loop 101 corridors. Hospital systems in Midtown and the East Valley hire the most consistently, while biotech and environmental firms in Tempe and Chandler add steady volume. Candidates who hold certifications in their specialty and have hands-on instrument experience tend to move through hiring faster in this market.
Which companies hire laboratorys in Phoenix?
Companies currently hiring laboratorys in Phoenix include SOCOTEC, US Department of Veterans Affairs, and UES, per current listings on Migrate Mate as of August 2026. Phoenix's mix of large hospital systems, independent reference labs, and semiconductor manufacturers means openings appear across a wide range of employer sizes and sectors.
Are there remote laboratory jobs in Phoenix?
Yes, though most laboratory roles require on-site work because the job involves physical specimens, instruments, or regulated environments. About 0% of laboratory openings tied to Phoenix are remote or hybrid as of August 2026, skewing toward analytical, data review, or quality-documentation roles. Positions in lab informatics, regulatory affairs, and clinical data management are the most likely to offer remote flexibility in the Phoenix market.
How can I get a laboratory job in Phoenix with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path in Phoenix is targeting lab assistant or specimen processing roles at the city's large hospital systems and clinical reference facilities, which regularly hire candidates with an associate degree or phlebotomy certification. Community labs and environmental testing companies along the I-10 corridor also take entry-level candidates willing to train on-site. Completing a practicum or externship at a Phoenix-area facility before applying gives you a measurable edge over candidates with classroom training only.
Which industries hire the most laboratorys in Phoenix?
The sectors hiring the most laboratorys in Phoenix are Healthcare & Medical Services, Consulting & Professional Services, and Construction & Real Estate, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of August 2026. Phoenix's rapid population growth, major hospital expansions, and the rise of semiconductor fabrication in the greater metro area all drive sustained demand for laboratory talent across those fields.
