How do you become a research associate, life sciences in Arizona?
The most direct path is completing a bachelor's degree in biology, biochemistry, molecular biology, or a related field, which is the baseline requirement for most Arizona employers. Arizona does not require a state-issued license specifically for life sciences research associates, so hiring centers on education and hands-on laboratory skills. Building experience through internships at Arizona research universities such as Arizona State University or the University of Arizona, or through clinical lab rotations, significantly strengthens your candidacy.
Which companies hire research associate, life sciencess in Arizona?
Employers hiring research associate, life sciencess in Arizona right now include Clarivate, CVS Health, and STG Design, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. Arizona's biopharmaceutical corridor and its large academic medical centers also generate consistent openings for research associates at the bench and translational levels.
Which Arizona cities have the most research associate, life sciences jobs?

The Phoenix metro leads because it is home to major hospital systems, biotech companies, and research institutions, while Tucson's concentration reflects the University of Arizona's medical research campus and affiliated clinical operations, and Scottsdale draws openings from pharmaceutical and diagnostics firms anchored in its corporate park districts.
Are there remote research associate, life sciences jobs in Arizona?
Yes, but they're rare. Most research associate, life sciences work is inherently hands-on, requiring physical access to laboratory equipment, samples, and controlled environments. About 100% of research associate, life sciences openings tied to Arizona are remote or hybrid as of July 2026, and those positions tend to be concentrated in data analysis, regulatory writing, or literature review functions rather than active bench research.

Completing an undergraduate thesis, a co-op, or a summer research program at Arizona State University or the University of Arizona adds concrete bench time that hiring managers weigh heavily. Earning an OSHA laboratory safety certification or a phlebotomy credential can also help candidates stand out for entry clinical research positions.
