Laboratory Technician, Metallurgy - Tucson, AZ

What are we looking for?
The Laboratory Technician is responsible for materials testing processes, handling and preparing samples, and providing written analysis in a laboratory environment. The ideal candidate for the Laboratory Technician role will have a desire to work in learning environment, strong analytical skills, and the ability to work independently and/or in a team setting.
Shift/Schedule: Standard office hours, Monday-Friday

What you'll do:
- The Laboratory Technician will report to the Laboratory Manager and is responsible for supporting lab operations on a day-to-day basis
- Receipt samples, Log in and sorting samples
- Crushing and splitting samples
- Completes pulverization sample preparation
- Performs test charges for testing
- Conducts bottle roll testing on samples
- Utilizes column testing techniques
- Documents results of testing and investigations in technical reports
- Other duties as assigned

Minimum Requirements & Qualifications:
- High school Diploma or GED required
- Attention to detail
