Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree and three (3) years of experience appropriate to the area of assignment/field; OR, Any equivalent combination of experience and/or training from which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities have been achieved.
Job Description:
The NASPO Department of Supply Chain Management in the W. P. Carey School of Business has several part-time openings for a Research Specialist PRN. The successful candidates should be able to provide design and execution of multiple projects involving application of programming, data analysis skills, and documentation methods. This is a short-term position working on a project for the Arizona Lottery.
Salary: $25.00 per hour
Essential Duties:
- Design and execute multiple projects involving application of programming, data analysis and documentation methods
- Document questions, seek answers from appropriate databases and websites
- Performs analysis, document results and create documents fulfilling project statement of work
- Work closely with faculty facilitators to ensure completion of projects in accordance within specified timelines
Desired Qualifications:
- Master of Science in Business Analytics and/or Master of Science in Supply Chain Management
- Data analysis skills such as R, Python, Excel, Statistics, etc.
- Experience interacting with a diverse population
- Evidence of effective verbal and written communication
- Experience with Microsoft Office applications (i.e. Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
- Evidence of problem solving, decision-making, organizational and customer service skills
Working Environment:
Activities are primarily performed in a regular, climate-controlled office setting subject to extended periods of sitting, standing, walking. Visual acuity and manual dexterity associated with daily use of desktop computer. Ability to clearly communicate verbally, read, write, see and hear to perform essential duties.
