Direct Sales & Lead Generation – HVAC (Tampa / Lutz)
Earnings: $100,000+ Potential ($89 Per Tune-Up + 5% Uncapped Backend Commission) Role: 1099 Independent Contractor
Are you grinding in solar, roofing, or pest control, but sick of deals falling through or massive install delays?
At On The Way AC, we have a simpler, faster model. We are rapidly expanding our footprint in the Tampa/Lutz area and need experienced direct-sales professionals who aren't afraid to get in front of homeowners.
You don't have to close a $20,000 deal on the doorstep. Your only job is to book an $89 AC Tune-Up or Repair Service. That's the foot in the door.
From there, our expert technicians and design specialists take over to evaluate the home. When they identify failing equipment and the homeowner decides to upgrade, $10,000–$25,000 new system, you get paid out on the back end.
How You Get Paid (Pure Output): We structure this to highly reward producers. As an independent contractor, your income is tied entirely to your hustle:
- $89 Per Tune-Up: You get paid $89 for every single tune-up or repair service you successfully book.
- 5% Uncapped Backend Commission: You get 5% of the gross sale on anything our team closes from the leads you generate. (If a homeowner upgrades to a $15k replacement, that puts another $750 directly in your pocket just for booking the initial tune-up).
- The Math: If you book just 3 tune-ups a day, you're making $267 for the day before any of those turn into $15k+ system replacements. Volume equals massive paydays.
What We Expect:
- Experience: You must have previous experience in D2D, canvassing, or direct sales. We will teach you the HVAC industry, but we aren't going to teach you how to knock on a door and speak to people.
- Autonomy: This is a 1099 contractor role. You are your own boss. No babysitting, no micromanaging. You bring the work ethic; we provide the backend infrastructure to help the homeowner and close your deals.
- Reliability: You need reliable transportation, a smartphone, and the grit to handle the daily grind of neighborhood marketing.
Why On The Way AC? We don't want order takers. We want hungry professionals who want a lane where performance actually matters and income isn't capped by corporate red tape. You set the appointment, we bring in the experts, and you get a cut of all of it.
This is a Remote (work from home) position.

Tips for Your Lead Generation Specialist Job Search
Quantify pipeline metrics on your resume
Hiring managers for lead generation roles want numbers. Replace vague claims with specific outputs: qualified leads delivered per month, conversion rates from outreach sequences, or cost per lead benchmarks you hit. Measurable results separate your resume from generic applicants instantly.
List your prospecting tools by category
Create a dedicated tools section on your resume that groups your experience by function: CRM platforms, sales engagement tools, data enrichment sources, and email verification software. Recruiters scan for specific tool familiarity before reading anything else on a lead generation specialist resume.
Filter openings by go-to-market motion
Job titles and duties vary widely depending on whether a company sells product-led, outbound, or inbound. Read the job description for terms like 'cold outreach,' 'inbound qualification,' or 'ABM' to match your actual experience to the role's real workflow before applying.
Apply early to roles that fit
Migrate Mate lists lead generation specialist openings from across the United States in one place, so you can find roles that match and apply directly to each listing.
Prepare a cold outreach sample for interviews
Many lead generation specialist interviews include a practical exercise where you write a cold email or call script on the spot. Bring two or three examples of sequences you've written that generated replies, so you can reference real work rather than improvising under pressure.
Negotiate scope, not just base pay
When an offer comes in, ask about lead volume targets, territory size, and data budget alongside compensation. Unrealistic quotas or a weak data stack can undermine your performance numbers within months, so clarifying those terms at the offer stage protects your long-term results.
Lead Generation Specialist Jobs: Frequently Asked Questions
Which companies are hiring the most lead generation specialists?
The most active employers for lead generation specialists right now are WSP, StrongHouse, and Home Brands Group, and the most openings are in California, Texas, and Arizona, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of August 2026. Demand is consistently strongest at SaaS companies and business services firms that rely on outbound pipelines to drive growth.
How many lead generation specialist jobs are remote?
About 55% of lead generation specialist openings are fully remote or hybrid as of August 2026, reflecting how much of the role's work happens through digital outreach rather than in-person activity. Outbound prospecting and email sequencing roles skew most remote, while roles tied to field sales teams or in-person events are more likely to require on-site presence.
How do you become a lead generation specialist?
Start by building familiarity with at least one CRM platform and a sales engagement tool through free trials or entry-level sales development roles. Practice writing cold outreach copy and learn how to research and qualify prospects against an ideal customer profile. From there, focus on roles with coaching cultures where you can track your own conversion metrics and build a results record over your first year.
Can you get hired as a lead generation specialist with little or no experience?
Yes, many employers hire entry-level lead generation specialists and train them on proprietary tools and processes. The strongest candidates without direct experience demonstrate comfort with outreach writing, attention to detail in research tasks, and familiarity with at least one CRM. Internships in sales development, marketing operations, or inside sales are the most direct paths when formal lead generation experience is limited.
What does the lead generation specialist interview process look like?
The process typically starts with a recruiter screen focused on your experience with outreach tools and CRM platforms, followed by a hiring manager conversation about your prospecting methodology and how you qualify leads. Many employers include a practical exercise, such as writing a cold email sequence or building a sample prospect list. Final rounds often involve meeting a sales or marketing leader who evaluates your judgment on pipeline quality and follow-up discipline.
Where can I find and apply to lead generation specialist jobs?
You can find and apply to lead generation specialist jobs on Migrate Mate, which lists current openings from across the United States in one place. Search for roles that match your experience level and specialization, then apply directly to each listing that fits your background and goals.
