Licensed Practical Nurse Jobs in Dallas: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get a licensed practical nurse job in Dallas?
Dallas's biggest licensed practical nurse hiring comes from its dense cluster of hospital systems in the Medical District, large long-term care and skilled nursing facilities throughout North Dallas and Irving, and a growing network of outpatient and urgent care clinics across Frisco and Plano. Candidates with acute care or geriatric experience move quickly here. Completing a shift-flexible schedule and holding a current Texas license in good standing gives you a real edge in this competitive market.
Which companies hire licensed practical nurses in Dallas?
Employers hiring licensed practical nurses in Dallas right now include PAM Health, Maxim Healthcare, and Fortrea, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of September 2026. Dallas's market blends large regional health systems, specialty rehabilitation centers, and independent long-term care operators, meaning openings range from high-volume hospital floors to smaller community-based practices.
Are there remote licensed practical nurse jobs in Dallas?
Remote work is rare for licensed practical nurses because the role is fundamentally hands-on and patient-facing. About 0% of licensed practical nurse openings tied to Dallas are remote or hybrid as of September 2026, and most of those are in telephone triage, care coordination, or case management roles rather than direct bedside care.
How can I get a licensed practical nurse job in Dallas with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path in Dallas is through skilled nursing facilities and long-term care communities, which consistently hire new graduates and offer structured orientation programs. Facilities in North Dallas, Garland, and Mesquite are known for taking on newer nurses. Applying for a certified nursing assistant role first at a target employer, then moving into a licensed practical nurse opening internally, is a proven local strategy that shortens the hiring timeline considerably.
